If @gearbox and @2k are gonna leave Duke collecting dust, someone’s gotta remind the world who the King is. 🕶️💥

Why keep the cosplay locked to just two days a year at Gamescom? The legend deserves better.

Welcome to the 30th Anniversary Duke Nukem Awareness Tour - hitting Europe this fall to keep the memory alive.

Stop #1: Liverpool, UK at @comicconlpool oct 10-11

Roughly one more week until @gamescom for me as a fan to yet again (4th time already, feels like Forever) to do my best to represent Duke and make sure he is not forgotten by the general public, since there still is zero official love by the current owners over at @2k and/or @gearbox

At 35 years of #DukeNukem and Duke Nukem (3D)'s 30th anniversary year they can't be bothered do give him any attention and it pisses me off.
(I hope they prove me wrong tho, there's roughly 4 more months in the year, but uhh... something about getting hopes up)

So let us fans join the original creators @apogeeentertainment / @scottapogee and Duke's voice actor @jsjisduke to show some love, appreciation and celebrate his massive part in the history of videogames.

#Gamescom
#BringBackDuke

p.s.
@geoffkeighley there's a lot of other games' 30th anniversaries this year (Tomb Raider, Quake, Doom, Resident Evil etc), if you decide to mention anything like this at #openingnightlive, you better include Duke Nukem or mention none at all.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. #DiscountDukeNukem by @stuffedgamer

Here’s a random observation I just had: if you take the key to Liberty City and turn it around, it becomes the key to GTAVI ? 😂

long post warning...

Videogames, in the year 2026 Several of them celebrate or at least acknowledge the history they have built.
Tomb Raider, Quake, Doom, Resident Evil are all somewhat officially celebrating their 30th anniversary at some point this year.

But I don't care as much about those as I do Duke Nukem, so where's my guy Duke Nukem in 2026?
He got his start on July 1 1991 in his first 2d sidescroller game then became a massive hit in 3D in 1996, but in 2026 only his original creators @apogeeentertainment / @scottapogee , Duke's voice actor @jsjisduke and other fans seem to care about Duke Nukem anymore.
The current owners @2k / @take_two_interactive / @gearbox do not seem to give a flying f*ck about the original kicker of alien asses and tbh it pisses me off.
Other than a pinball game theme and a dlc cameo in world of Tanks (even @worldoftanks_official showed more love with Duke in the recent Battle pass reloaded ).
Other than that Duke Nukem has been m.i.a for 15 years since which ironically feels like Forever.

So far the history lesson, on to the present....
Over the past years I have teamed up with my best friend @maikel__elluf for his photography hobby before, but things aligned even better this year when I was looking to somehow celebrate Duke his 35/30th anniversary and maikel looking for a fun concept for his photography course final assignment for this year.

Born from this was the idea to recreate a number of the cover art from the games, starting at the very first, (yes skipping a few, selections had to be made).
Combining my cosplay 'modelling skills' (or lack thereof), with his photography skills and some modern a.i. ways to upgrade the background art, we got some pretty cool results.
Though I am not sure who will be seeing these when they are on public display on a wall on a local artist centre in @cke in Eindhoven in the Netherlands, I just hope they get some more views than that.

I don't publicly beg often (if ever), but can anyone (or everyone!) please invite Jon St. John ( @jsjisduke ) to any or all of your events this year?
He is not just a ton of voices, but the godfather of video games voices as the first fully speaking character!
Everybody knows Mario by Charles Martinet, but Jon and Duke was first!

And he's been at it for 30 years and counting...
If any moment it a very good one, it is this year, but also please consider him for upcoming years...

You not only get an awesome guest with Jon St. John but also me as a visitor (thats 1 whole ticket presold for your event) :D

Begging for Europe and/or the UK mostly tho, i'm sure there are many otherevents, but please find my request to you below...

Season's beatings / greetings or #MerryChristmas if you want to call it that!

Some info nobody asked for, but I'm sharing anyway... As for the images, taking inspiration from #DukeNukem Nuclear Winter for the christmas theme, Ai generated perfect snowman similar to the game for the christmas theme without any reference material. Yes, my art skills suck, so it's generated by Ai, which usually is either trash or gold, but using #nanobanana and #chatgpt through #higgsfield onto a greenscreen photo really works for me and even the kinda dodgy animaton from #kling did the job. Included some alternative options aswell, too cool not to share 😂 by @stuffedgamer

This is an interesting idea, they recently added #DukeNukem dlc to #worldoftanks . But the Ai photobooth at #wargaming transforms you into a character of the game. But it’s so close to the/my original #WG_PLAYBIG by @stuffedgamer
