September 3rd, I got a heartbreaking call that you were in the ICU. September 11th, you gained your wings to Heaven! Today, September 23rd, we celebrate your life here on Earth ❤️

What hurts the most are all the realizations. I always thought there would be another call, another hug, another fishing trip, another day to grab a beer. You never think there’s an expiration date for a parent.

There’s no map for how to live life without you. I don’t know exactly how I’m supposed to do it, and honestly, I don’t think I ever will. I just know I have to keep going. I have to keep becoming the man you raised me to be and I will never stop making you proud.

You weren’t just my Dad. You were my best friend, my biggest supporter, my rollercoaster ride-a-long, my twin for real and I’ll carry you with me in everything I do!

Until we meet again, Pops. I love you and may you forever Rest in Peace 🪽 by @stuhpidfresh
