I didn’t take a lot of pictures this past weekend, but sharing a few from the press area of the very first Vans Warped Tour Mexico City. It’s not lost on me how significant it was to be there for this inaugural event after 30 years.

I want to thank @alliebsuperstar for allowing me to ride shotgun with her on Warped this year. The Vans Warped Tour team never ceases to amaze me with their incredible work ethic, and the ethos behind this entire event is something to be applauded.

A huge thank you as well to all of the journalists who came out to cover the festival. And to our entire team at @TheSynPR, who help make everything happen both on and off site when it comes to media coverage, thank you.

Pretty incredible to get to be a small part of Warped history. by @stuntcrew

Long Beach, you were a blast. Another Vans Warped Tour in the books, filled with nonstop interviews, photos, and unforgettable performances. So proud of the @thesynpr team for making it all happen. And after 10 years, it was pretty special to see my old friends in Motion City Soundtrack again. Until next time. ❤️ by @stuntcrew

Finally made it to the Iris van Herpen exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum. Worth the trip and absolutely otherworldly. My photos don’t do this justice & no wonder Bjork, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, and Janelle Monae have all worn her designs. by @stuntcrew

One thing about Grace was she was always on the move. I posted a lot of videos of her walking with such attitude and purpose and always soundtracked it to Rick Ross’ Hustlin. I loved watching her move through the world this way and was just happy to be her person. Over the past year plus she’d lost her bark and her movement became less purposeful and more aimless.

At least one of these clips is from Long Beach Island where Marni and I try to go at least once every summer and bring our dogs. She LOVED LBI as much as I did. When Jennie Boddy was still in NYC we used to go hang on her rooftop with the dogs and Betty and Grace would just wander and play. I was thankful that The Syndicate let me bring her to work with me and she walked every inch of that place each time we were there. Doing laps for hours. Allie used to joke, “she gets more steps in than me!”

Today we said goodbye to Gracie Marcus Alvarado. She was my soul dog and my heart for 19 years. She was my best friend and constant companion. She traveled with me and Pat to 15 states outside of our home in New York via trains, planes, and automobiles, including NJ, Washington State, Maine, Delaware, Maryland, Florida, California, Oregon, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Connecticut, Rhode Island, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania.

Grace loved the beach, she loved playing catch, she used to really love Pat’s dirty socks, and she was a huge personality. Back in her heyday she would jump up into the window seat of our apartment to sunbathe and occasionally bark at passersby. She was feisty, she was loyal, she was confident, and she was loving.

Her cognitive health had been declining over the last year, and in the last month she began spinning and spiraling to the left, something my vet thought was likely a sign of a brain tumor. I know she’s in a better place now, but my heart is truly broken and I will miss her every single day. 💔❤️
