Happy Best Friend Day!! This is what friendship looks like in your 40’s.

These are my people. The ones that love me when I’m an idiot. The ones who will TELL ME when I’m an idiot, but do it in love and have my back and won’t let anyone else call me an idiot. Who love my kiddo fiercely, and cheer for my marriage. Who show up if I need them, but we don’t keep score if we go a long time without talking, because… life.

I love these ladies so very much. They are all brilliant, kind, and they always give more than they take from the world. They’ve been a blessing to my life over the years and I love them all so very much!

Life recently.

1. Rediscovered my love of hot rollers. Y’all. 😍
2. & 3. Family wedding at KU.
4. Nightly front porch sitting while our kid enjoys an 80’s childhood outside.
5. I have a velcro puppy. (Poppy isn’t pleased. Coco has no chill.)
6. Patio weather is upon us- birthday dinner with Jaime.
7. Post practice fishing with the club boys.

This is NOT ok. On ANY LEVEL. I’m not here to convince anyone that their vote was wrong bc social media is NOT the space for that- but this is ME rebuking our President and standing up for what I believe and saying that this is wrong. As a Christian (or a human) this is not ok. And don’t come at me with “God had old Testament kings wipe out civilizations.” If you do, I’ll direct you to look to see what Trump posted on Easter. Not posting here bc it had profanities. He’s an evil man, and this is all horrible. THIS. IS. NOT. HOW. A. LEADER. ACTS. by @styleassisted

Today is the DAY. The most IMPORTANT day. Not in a “He is Risen” - we went to church, obligatory social media family post kind of day, but in a “this day is the entire reason for your entire life” kind of day. Good Friday wasn’t so good for Jesus. Or the disciples. But Sunday? Oooooooooh, Sunday changed everything. Easter is *THE* reason we’re Christians and have the purpose we do, the joy we possess, and the love we share. Easter is the best. I get pretty excited about Easter around here because we SHOULD get excited about it. Our Savior literally said, “nah” on day 3 and just walked out of the tomb. All casual-like. 😳🤯🙌🏻 The. Best. Thing. Ever. So while I’m posting the obligatory cute church outfit pics, you better believe we’re also listening to praise music around here and making a big deal about the reason for the day because HELLO- we worship a risen savior. Spring Break 2026. Went down to Arkansas for fishing for the boys and a reading retreat for me. They got up early to start casting and I slept in - which is my favorite way to start a vacation day. When I rolled out of bed and grabbed a book, I headed to one of the many sun-soaked spots to get lost in an adventure until we all met for lunch. Rinse and repeat until dinner. After dinner, we played board games and sat around the fire while telling Alexander stories about our childhood and roasted marshmallows. It was lovely. The guys got their annual spring break bonding time and we got family time. by @styleassisted

These two. 🥰

10 weeks as of tomorrow. The right ear has started to rise and both ears flop hilariously when she runs. She loves her sister’s food and they love hers, so we have to separate everyone at mealtime. 🤪 She sleeps through the night in her kennel like a champ without any accidents and we’re so proud of her.

Alexander gets up early every morning to take her outside and is the one to take care of her 100% of the time when he’s home. I’m so impressed with how responsible he has been with her. They’re so adorable together and I love it. Coco had been the best addition to our lives. by @styleassisted
