Ever wondered what to put in that awkward little space between two doors?

It’s one of those spots that can feel a bit… nothing. Too small for a big furniture moment, too noticeable to completely ignore.

But there are actually a few ways to make it work.

A single oversized artwork if you want to keep things simple.
A console if you’ve got a little more room.
A bench for something softer and more practical.
Or a plinth and vase if you want to make it feel a little more sculptural.

The biggest thing? Don’t feel like you have to fill every inch. Sometimes one well-scaled piece is all that wall needs.

Which one are you choosing — 1, 2, 3 or 4?

Stop blaming your furniture… 😅

It’s not the sofa.
It’s not the console.
It’s the styling.

Once you fix:
– scale
– placement
– balance

your whole space shifts.

Same pieces. Completely different vibe.

Stop second guessing your gallery wall

The shape you create can make or break your look.

The Square = structured
The Diamond = playful
The Triangle = grounded
The Horizontal = calm

Save this for the next time you’re hanging art 🖼️

Sometimes it’s not the big things throwing a room off… it’s the little styling choices

The boring pull down blinds.
The unplanned gallery wall.
The lonely little artwork doing its best

Tiny tweaks can make a huge difference to how a space feels — more considered, more balanced and just a whole lot better.

It doesn’t always mean buying more either. Sometimes it’s simply about changing the way something is styled.

Little changes. Big difference.

Home in need of a bit of a spruce up ? You know where to find me 🤗

Save this one if your room is feeling almost right… but not quite.

There are a few things I come back to again and again when styling a room..

Layer contrast + texture.
Think soft against hard, light against dark, smooth against tactile.

Don’t match everything.
when everything matches … nothing stands out

And always add something living.
Greenery, branches or foliage instantly bring softness and life to a space.

Simple little styling decisions — but they can completely change how a room feels.

Save this one for the next time your room feels like it’s missing something.

Your entry is the first impression of your home so it deserves a little more thought than just being the place you drop your keys 😂

Whether it’s a console, a bench seat or a wall of art, there are so many ways to make an entry feel considered without overfilling it.

The key is choosing something that suits your space and gives you that little “Honey I’m Home ” moment as soon as you walk through the door.

Which look would you choose for your entry?

Who else can relate?

Started with every intention of getting so much content filmed today….
and somehow this is all I ended up with.

Surely I’m not the only one who gets distracted by emails, sourcing, clients, coffee… and about 47 other things along the way ?

Any other stylists / creatives relate? by @styledandstaged_au

This is what I do every day of the week.

I take rooms that feel unfinished, outdated, disconnected or simply not quite right and help my clients see what they could become.

Because sometimes the hardest part isn’t knowing that you want to change your room — it’s knowing what to change, what to keep, what to add and how to bring it all together.
That’s exactly what my e-styling service is designed to do.

It’s a simple, step-by-step process where I take your existing room, your needs, your style and your budget, and create a clear direction for you, from layout and colour through to furniture, rugs, lighting, artwork placement and those final styling layers that make a room feel finished.

As part of the process, I also create realistic concept visuals using AI to help you see how your room could potentially look before you start purchasing pieces.
They’re not photographs of completed rooms, they’re a way of bringing the design direction to life, helping you understand how everything works together and feel more confident about the decisions you’re making.

Sometimes you don’t need a completely different room.

You just need someone to show you what’s possible with the one you already have.

If you have a room you’re struggling to pull together, comment STYLE and I’ll send you the details of my e-styling service.

IKEA probably had other plans for this…

but I like mine better 😂

One little IKEA find, one very different use, and suddenly it’s become one of my favourite little IKEA styling hack.

The Variera Pot Lid Holder $8.99

Simple, inexpensive and ridiculously easy — exactly how I like a DIY 😂

Would you try this one?

I’ve told you how to size and hang art above a sofa and over a sideboard… but what happens when you’ve just got a big blank wall sitting there all on its own?

The good news? That ⅔ rule still comes in handy.

Start by measuring the usable width of your wall, then aim for your artwork or your whole art grouping to take up roughly ⅔ of that width.

So if your wall is 2100mm wide, you’re aiming for around 1400mm of artwork in total.

And that doesn’t mean it has to be one giant piece.

You could go for:
One big artwork or A gallery grid

As long as the overall scale feels right for the wall.

And don’t forget the height,  aim to hang the centre of your artwork at around eye level, approximately 150cm from the floor.

Big blank wall = big enough art.

No tiny little postage stamp floating in the middle 😅

Save this one for your next blank wall.

I jumped on this trend because it made me laugh WAY too much

Just to be very clear, these are completely fake conversations.
No real clients were cancelled on, no psychics were consulted, no $800 chandeliers were accidentally purchased and there is not currently a life-size ceramic horse blocking my front door

I just wanted to join in on one of the funniest trends I’ve seen in a while and apparently once I started thinking of ridiculous excuses, I couldn’t stop.

Although… I’m not going to lie, I kind of would like to be a in a period drama. 😂 by @styledandstaged_au

Never know what to buy at IKEA? Don’t worry… I do.

I’ve done the scrolling for you and found four pieces that punch well above their price tag. Here’s what made the cut:

BLODFLÄDER Picture — $49.99
Looks collected. Costs $49.99. Your blank wall will thank you.

IKEA PS 2026 Pendant Lamp Shade — $39
A very expensive-looking $39. Honestly, IKEA… well played.

IKEA PS 2026 Cabinet — $649
Wait… this is IKEA?! Storage that deserves to be seen rather than hidden away.

IKEA PS 2026 Floor Uplighter — $69.99
Slim. Stylish. And only $69.99. A little hit of deep red to wake up all those neutrals.

Which one are you putting straight in the trolley? 👀

Prices correct at time of posting.
