One of those rare projects where I got to creative direct, style, and write the story myself.I really poured my heart into this one. The first time I came across @jeanclaudia on Instagram, I was immediately drawn to how distinct her style felt. There’s a boldness and authenticity to the way she dresses that you don’t often see. Ever since then, I knew I wanted to tell her story someday. So when the opportunity came, I pitched the idea to my editors.At a time when people are constantly chasing micro-trends, buying into every new aesthetic only to move on from it weeks later, originality can feel increasingly rare. Jean stands in contrast to that. I created this concept inspired by The Dark Knight by Alexander McQueen in 1998 that inspired by joan of arc, a piece I’ve always seen as a powerful masterpiece. I tried to reinterpret its mood in my own way, with my current understanding of styling and storytelling through a project like this. “Song of the Siren” by Jakarta-based designer Rio Rinardo is a graduate lingerie collection developed at ESMOD Jakarta that explores the tension between allure and danger found in siren mythology. Sheer fabrics, fluid draping, frayed edges, and raw textures trace the body with a sense of vulnerability, while silhouettes shift between control and collapse.
