Rain rain go away, we want to see the sun Monday.
⠀
This Memorial Day, we host the 19th annual Style Matters DJs Showcase at Sarabande. This is an opportunity for you to see our elite group of artists take full creative control and play whatever they feel. Come with an open mind and your smiling faces and let’s round out the holiday weekend in style.
⠀
Here’s what you need to know:
⠀
- The event is free but you must RSVP to listme@stylemattersdjs.com so we can get a rough headcount.
⠀
- DJs will start playing at noon sharp and will each get 20 minutes to shine. The line up and set times will be posted by Monday morning.
⠀
- Bring your crew, just make sure they RSVP and let us know that they’re with you.
⠀
- This is an all ages affair. The new foosball and ping pong tables will be in full effect.
⠀
- The Ovation Group will host the bar until supplies last. Come early, stay as long as you’d like.

- Urban Allure will be handling all the floral throughout the space. Curious to learn more? Ask for Nicole on Monday.

- Wooden Paddle will be slangin’ wood burned pizza out of their oven parked right off the patio.
⠀
- Sarabande, Ovation, and Greenhouse Loft clients are highly encouraged to attend as we’ll be showing off most of our new add on amenities (Ice Cream Cart, Ceremony Arch, Discoballs - the audio phone booth is being custom built and will be ready in early June).

- For Sarabande clients/prospects/friends, we will be giving golf cart rides down to the new riverfront ceremony area.
⠀
- Super bummed you can’t make it? Don’t worry, we got you. We’ll be streaming the entire event live to www.twitch.tv/orchardlounge. Set a reminder to tune in starting at noon. Trust us, you won’t find a better Memorial Day soundtrack anywhere.

Our team is gearing up for a monster weekend of events. When we come back up for air after all of these soirées this weekend, the showcase on Monday is a rare opportunity for our crew to be together and chill. We’re looking forward to seeing you.

Our @theovationgroupchicago team has enjoyed some rest and relaxation so far this year but now it’s time to get after it. We kick off February with our favorite event of the year, the @westloopweddingwalk. If you haven’t already purchased your tickets, we highly recommend you do that before Sunday. For those who are unaware of what this event entails, it’s an opportunity to see the best venues on the west side of the City and Ovation has participated since its inception. Each space will have various vendors posted up, as well. It looks like the temp is going to be creeping close to 50° so grab your crew and prepare to get your steps in. Once you’ve seen what there is to see on the west side, our other two venues, @sarabandechicago and @greenhouseloft are going to be open for walk-ins. As always, @stylemattersdjs will be wrangling the vibe at Ovation and this go ‘round it’ll be @shazam_bangles2 behind the decks.

Last year we packed in hundreds of couples and gave away a wedding. Will we do it again? Watch this space.

Our first ever DJ showcase at the new space happens this Memorial Day. Trust us, you don’t want to miss it. Not going to be in town? We’ll be streaming it live to twitch.tv/orchardlounge. If you still haven’t heard, the West Loop Wedding Walk happens this Sunday, 2/4/24. There are nearly 1200 tickets sold making this the biggest year to date by a long shot.
⠀
Here are a few tips for your visit to Ovation:
⠀
• Once on-site, look for anyone with an OVA pin and we will give you a short tour.
⠀
• These are the vendors who will be at Ovation: Style Matters DJs (@stylemattersdjs), BZAWerks (@bzawerks), Urban Allure (@urbanallureevents), Amazing Edibles (@amazingediblescatering), Madi Ellis Photography (@madiellisphoto), and Reliveable.
⠀
• Our other venues, Sarabande (@sarabandechicago) and Greenhouse Loft (@greenhouseloft), will be open on Sunday between 11AM and 4PM for scheduled and walk-in tours. Drop us a line if you’d like to book a tour in advance.
⠀
• You can enter our Giveaway until 4pm. The photobooth will close at 4pm sharp (tip: there could be a line all day) and we will draw the winner some time between 4 and 5pm before heading over to the Fairlie for the afterparty. See our last post for more information on the Giveaway.

Sarabande is a hybrid of Ovation & Greenhouse Loft: thoughtful, modern design with column free gathering space, double barrel truss ceilings, skylights, outdoor spaces, etc. The model is similar to our current venues, with a handful of new amenities being added to our offerings.

There are two dedicated outdoor spaces: one along the Chicago river for ceremonies, and a large patio off of the main space for cocktail hours.
⠀
We’ll have a max guest count of 250 for seated dinners and the room can be cleverly partitioned for any size event. The max for a standing reception is TBD.
⠀
Introductory 2023 pricing is $9K (Sat), $7K (Fri), $5K (Sun) and will increase with every handful of 2023 bookings. 2024 high season pricing is $13K (Sat), $11K (Fri), $9K (Sun). As always, rental fees will be posted and regularly updated on our website, which launches this week. The day a couple inquires, we will honor the fee advertised on the site that day for one week.

Tours of the raw space will start by mid-January. Once you have walked through the space, you can hold a 2023 date for one week or a 2024 date for two weeks.
⠀
Build out will commence in Q1 and we will open no later than Labor Day Weekend. Hard hat tours will continue through the winter, spring, and early summer during construction.
