If you’re going to take a full day away from your business to attend an industry event, make the day count.

My guests this week, Faigy Chaskelson and Chana-Rivka Thierman, believe strongly in getting outside your usual circle and intentionally building relationships with the vendors, designers, architects, builders, and other professionals in our industry.

And Faigy practices what she preaches.

Years ago, after discovering A Well-Designed Business, she drove more than an hour each way to attend one of our Window Works Lunch and Learns because she wanted to meet me. We stayed connected. Years later, when she became involved with DXAS, she suggested me as a speaker.

And now? That relationship is part of the reason I know Chana-Rivka and why the three of us are having this conversation.
That’s networking when it actually means something.

We’re talking about how to walk into an industry event with a plan, stay open to the unexpected, meet people outside your existing circle, and follow up in a way that gives those relationships somewhere to go.

And if you’re in the NY/NJ/PA area, come put it into practice with us at DXAS on December 1st at American Dream in East Rutherford, NJ. I’ll be there speaking.

The first 100 AWDB listeners can register for $24.99 with code LUANN26. Use the "Events & Info" Link in my bio to register

Here’s a look back at a space we had the privilege of working on and visualizing from concept through to completion.

Soft curves, warm wood finishes, and subtle lighting were all carefully considered to create an environment that feels calm, welcoming, and quietly refined.

Spaces like this remind us why thoughtful design matters: balancing function, mood, and material to create environments people genuinely enjoy being in. ✨

Ever walked into a space and instantly felt calmer without quite knowing why? That’s often biophilic design at work. 🌿

By introducing natural elements like greenery, organic textures, and warm materials, spaces begin to reduce stress, support focus, and feel noticeably healthier and more inviting to spend time in.

Thinking of bringing that same energy into your space? WhatsApp us now or click the link in bio to book your FREE consultation.

Spring is in the air, and sometimes the smallest design updates can make the biggest difference.

A lighter palette, natural textures, improved lighting, or a simplified layout can instantly shift how a space feels without the need for a full renovation! 🙌

Refreshing your environment doesn’t always mean starting from scratch; it’s often about thoughtful adjustments that bring in more light, clarity, and energy.

Swipe through for a few quick wins that can elevate your commercial space this season. 🌿

Office design is built for productivity. While hospitality design is built for experience.

The most successful commercial spaces understand that today, you need both.

Efficient layouts and clear workflows help teams perform, while warmth, comfort, and intuitive flow make people want to stay, connect, and return.

It’s this balance (function with feeling) that turns a space into something memorable rather than merely practical.

That’s the philosophy we bring to every project: thoughtful design, open collaboration, and solutions tailored to the people using the space every day.

Because when integrity, creativity, and communication lead the process, the result is an environment that works hard and feels right. ✨
