Not all leggings are created equal. 🙌

As an apple-shaped girl, I’m always looking for leggings that smooth my tummy, don’t roll down, and don’t create that dreaded muffin top. If you’ve never tried compression leggings before, they’re designed to provide extra support, create a smoother silhouette, and stay in place while you move—and that’s exactly what I noticed with these.

These Fanka Power Band Resistance Leggings check all those boxes. The compression gives me that “held in” feeling without sacrificing comfort, my tummy looks smoother, my bum gets a little lift (I’ll take all the help I can get 😉), and they don’t roll down when I’m out walking.

A bucket list dream come true. 🏔️

I still can’t believe I won this trip to Banff. Standing at the top of the gondola, looking out at the mountains I had always dreamed of seeing, was one of those “take it all in” moments.

So grateful for this experience, these views, and the memories made along the way. ✨

The only label your clothes should come with is the size.

Not your age.

I’ve never bought a jacket that said, “Sorry, expires at 50.” 😉 Yet so many women still tell themselves they’re “too old” to wear something they love.

One of my favourite things about Instagram is seeing women in their 50s, 60s, 70s and beyond absolutely breaking the so-called fashion rules. Bright colours. Sequins. Leather. Wide-leg jeans. Statement pieces. They wear what makes them feel happy and confident—not what someone else thinks is “age appropriate.”

Life is way too short to stay inside a tiny box because of a number.

If you love it, wear it.

Fashion should be about expressing who you are, not shrinking yourself to fit someone else’s expectations.

I needed this!

Sometimes the smallest change can make the biggest difference. 💇‍♀️

Lately my hair was feeling heavy, flat, and honestly... a little blah. Between the summer heat and these lovely hot flashes (hello, 50s 😆), I knew it was time for a change.

A coworker with great hair recommended a curly cut, and I am SO glad I listened! My curls have more shape and it’s so much easier to manage.

One thing I’ve learned in my 50s is that refreshing your look isn’t about trying to look younger—it’s about feeling more like yourself. A new haircut, a different lipstick, or even trying a new outfit can give your confidence the little boost it needs.

Sometimes we don’t need a whole makeover... just a fresh perspective. 💕

Happy Canada D’eh to all my fellow Canadians 🇨🇦

Canada Day has always meant more to me than fireworks and red & white. ❤️🇨🇦

For our family, it was also the start of celebrating my dad’s birthday. His birthday was July 2nd, so Canada Day weekend was always about making memories together.

This year feels different. It’s our first Canada Day without him, and I’d give anything to celebrate one more birthday with him. I miss him more than words can say. 💔

But we’ll keep celebrating him, just as we always have.

One of my favorite things about summer? Dresses. 🌞 👗

They’re the ultimate one-and-done outfit. No standing in front of the closet wondering what top goes with what bottoms. Just throw one on, add your favorite sandals or sneakers, and you’re out the door looking put together in minutes.

And the best part? I don’t care if it’s from this year or five summers ago. If I love it, I’m wearing it. 💁‍♀️
