Time to Update The Bio 👩🏽‍🎓👮🏾 Mom at 14. Over 20 years in the beauty and entrepreneurial world. 10 years of coaching and mentoring. Many setbacks. Many lessons. Many moments I could’ve quit. 🥹. But purpose has a way of pulling you toward who you’re called to become!! Most people know me from braiding, business, coaching, and building brands but my passion for criminal justice, advocacy, and serving my community has lived in me for years. I’ve always had a heart for helping people who feel overlooked, unheard, or like they don’t have anyone fighting for them. Becoming an attorney and creating real impact in my community has always been part of the bigger vision. The beauty industry taught me far more than hair. It taught me discipline, leadership, communication, resilience, and how to lead people through pressure and transformation. Those same skills carried me through some of the toughest mental and physical challenges of the academy. And this past Friday, I graduated top of my class as a Deputy Sheriff. 🥳 Looking back now, I finally understand why “Braid Beyond Bars” (my Non profit for incarcerated women), was placed on my heart almost a decade ago. God was preparing me long before I understood the assignment. Still leading. Still serving. Just walking into a new lane God already had prepared for me. 🙏🏾 Thank You God And Thank You To My Tribe 🙌🏾😘 by @stylezbykey
