The best advice I got when starting my personal styling business was this…

What you have in your business today is the result of what you were doing 60 to 90 days ago.

Your lack of belief in yourself is keeping you from becoming the personal stylist you’re meant to be.

When you’re on your own in your business, it can be hard to truly see the bigger picture.

Being surrounded by your “competition” is actually what makes you realize your unique strengths as a personal stylist.

The biggest hesitation stylists have when considering my group programs is that they’ll be surrounded by their competition.

You’ve worked hard to build your business, and you don’t necessarily want to get in a room with other personal stylists and hand them your ideas, or look vulnerable because you don’t know as much as them.

And trust me, I understand it. There was a time in my own career when I thought this way, too.

But here’s what actually happens when you’re surrounded by fellow stylists…

Being around other smart stylists doesn’t make you less differentiated.

It makes you *more* aware of what makes you different.

Because when you get to hear how someone else talks about their niche, their offers, their pricing, the clients they want, and the way they deliver their services, you suddenly see your own business more clearly.

You realize, “Oh. I’m not actually competing with her. We’re solving problems for clients in completely different ways.”

And that’s a really important realization when you’re trying to build a six-figure business.

You don’t need to be the only stylist in your market to feel secure.

You just need to be crystal clear on why the right client should choose you.

Turn any “no” you’ve heard on a sales call into a content idea.

When you start to notice you’re hearing these objections time and again, take it as a sign you need to offer your potential styling clients an alternate perspective.

They don’t know that they’re no is probably the exact reason they probably need to work with you.

The three hesitations the personal stylists I work with hear most often are:

001 → “I don’t have time.”
002 → “I don’t have the money/budget.”
003 → “I need to talk to my partner.”
