You don’t have a marketing problem. You have a timing problem.

Busy for six weeks. Then the phone goes quiet. Then it’s 2am and you’re texting everyone you know.

The fix isn’t more hustle. It’s 15 minutes a week, booked or not. Check in with one person. Send one thing out. Follow up once.

Full breakdown on my Substack, The Room Nobody Shows You. Link in my Bio.

Save this for your next quiet month. Then reach out to one person today.

Every stylist I know markets in panic and stops in comfort.

The calendar goes empty, so we text everyone. Then the work lands, and the outreach stops. Until the next quiet stretch.

The fix is not working harder. It’s reaching out while you’re busy.

My new Substack post is live: The Feast and Famine Cycle. It covers why this keeps happening and the 15 minute weekly rule that breaks it. Link in bio.

Which one are you this month?

A vintage slip dress, a tweed jacket, some lace, oversized jeans. Nothing matches. Everything works. Welcome to Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2027. And I love it!

Dolce & Gabbana are bringing back the art of getting dressed. And those slip dresses? They’ve been part of the house’s DNA since the ’90s. But this isn’t about nostalgia. It’s about taking something old, mixing it with something new, and making it completely your own.

And …It’s wearable! Bravo!

What if the reason you’re not getting the styling jobs you want is because you’re waiting for someone to offer them to you?

You can be busy styling and still not be building the career you actually want.

The brands you admire, the celebrities you’d love to dress, the campaigns you want to work on? They may never come looking for you.

At some point, you have to stop waiting and start being intentional.

Styling is creative. Building a career is business.

And that’s the part nobody really teaches you.

I’m now offering private 1:1 Stylist Strategy Sessions where we can talk about your career, clients, pitching, rates, negotiations, or whatever you’re navigating.

60 minutes | $200

Book through the link in my bio.

Everyone in the fitting room has an opinion. But not everyone is looking at the same thing.

As a stylist, your job is to listen, collaborate, and know when to trust your own eye.

Knowing how to style gets you into the room. Knowing how to think when you’re there is what gets you hired again.

That’s the part of styling nobody teaches you.

You learn it in the room.

Want to develop your eye, your confidence, and the judgment that gets you hired again?

The final image may look effortless.

The work behind it rarely is.

A fitting is where the look really starts to take shape. Pieces get swapped, proportions get adjusted, and the smallest detail can completely change the way something photographs.

A little behind the scenes from an ELLE Magazine shoot.

This is the part of styling you rarely get to see.

This is the work behind the image.

Christian Siriano took us somewhere else for Spring/Summer 2027.

18th century romance reimagined through sculpted corsetry, embroidered lace, dramatic volume and unapologetic glamour. The collection moved from monochrome into rich pinks and purples, blending historical femininity with the bold, modern red carpet drama Siriano has made his own.
He took recognizable historical codes and made them feel relevant to the women who will actually wear these clothes now.

Romantic. Powerful. Theatrical. And very Siriano.

Your stylist kit can make or break you.

The zipper breaks. The hem drops. Something needs to be fixed five minutes before your client walks out the door.

That is the moment preparation becomes part of your reputation.

A great stylist is not just ready for the look.

They are ready for what can go wrong.

Save this one.

Want to become invaluable?

Stop asking,

“What do I have to do today?”

Start asking,

“What is this teaching me?”

That’s where the real education is.

This week's substack is about the hidden cost of staying silent and why communication may be the skill that determines the career you build.

Why do some emails get a response while others disappear?

Most people think it’s because someone is a better writer.

I don’t think that’s the real reason.

I think every email is written twice.

First in your mind.

Then on the page.

The conversation you’re already having with yourself quietly shapes the experience the other person has while reading your words.

That’s the room nobody shows you.

If this idea changes the way you think about communication, swipe through the carousel.

Then read the latest issue of The Room Nobody Shows You, where I go much deeper into why communication starts long before the first word is written.
