When I was young I would always say to my mom how I wanted to be a ‘big girl’. Now I find myself wishing I could go back to being this litlle again, when growing up didn’t seem so heavy. I feel like being in your twenties, specially in the society we live in nowadays, it’s kinda of - isn’t it? I mean, we are expected to know what we want, where we going, who we are. The pressure and the constant feeling of nedding to do more, to be more. ‘Am I doing the right thing?’ ‘What am I doing wrong?’ keeps popping up in the back of our minds and even though success doesn’t look the same for everyone, it’s still hard not to compare.
The world is absolutely chaos right now and most of us are just trying to stay afloat while smilling through it like got it all together. We don’t. And that’s ok. That’s what this song reminded me. It’s ok to not have everything figured it out. It’s ok to slow down.
You’re doing better than you think.
You’re not behind. You’re growing.
