SULaw’s Summer Programme 2026 has officially come to an end! ☀️
It has been an amazing month with students from around the world taking part in our 6 different courses. Students got to enjoy Fika, learned how to play Kubb and got a chance to explore the beautiful city of Stockholm! 🇸🇪☕️
We loved meeting you all and had so much fun with all of you during the Social Programme (especially Gröna Lund, ABBA Museum and Oceanbus). We hope that you’ve made some lifelong memories and friends during the programme! 😊

Also a big thank you for our talented professors, who taught our students so much and have contributed enormously in organizing the programme!

We wish you all the best and hope to see you in Stockholm again very soon! 🤗🇸🇪

LL.M. in International Commercial Arbitration🏅

Stockholm is internationally recognized as a leader in the field of arbitration, known for hosting numerous arbitrations and as the home to one of the most active, innovative and respected arbitration institutes, the SCC Arbitration Institute, and therefore a natural place to engage in an intellectually vigorous study of both the theory and practice of international commercial arbitration.

In the ICAL programme, students actively put theory into practice. LL.M. in European Economic Law 🇪🇺

The European Union of today is the result of a bold and remarkably successful project of economic and political integration. The law of the European Union permeates ever growing areas of social and economic activity in the EU Member States and directly affects economic operators as well as ordinary citizens. LL.M. in Environmental Law 🍀

In the LL.M. in Environmental Law, students will acquire in-depth knowledge of substantive environmental law, and be provided the necessary theoretical and methodological foundations to be able to work independently with research, development or other qualified work in the area of environmental law. Our LL.M. centres on transboundary dimensions and cross-cutting issues, and refer to cases and contexts where the legal approaches, principles and concepts to protect the environment integrate, collide or clash with other areas of law.

And Stockholm is the right place for your LL.M in Environmental Law. In addition to the academic and social reasons for studying the Master Programme at Stockholm University, Stockholm stands out in international environmental law and governance. The United Nations Conference on the Human Environment – the first major UN conference on environmental matters – was held in Stockholm in 1972. Since then, new environmental issues have emerged, and have expanded in scale and scope. LL.M. in European Intellectual Property Law 👩‍🎨

The EIPL Masters is a unique programme designed to give students both the theoretical depth and the practical skills needed to excel in the field of intellectual property law.

Our curriculum combines rigorous academic study with hands-on learning, ensuring that graduates leave with a strong foundation in IP law as well as the ability to apply their knowledge in real-world contexts. Courses are closely linked to ongoing research projects led by professors of private law at Stockholm University, meaning that students benefit directly from the latest developments in scholarship and policy. The Master’s programme covers all major areas of intellectual property law, including patents, copyright, trademarks, designs, and geographical indications. LL.M. in Public International Law 🌍

Today, international law is everywhere. It seeks to regulate international issues like armed conflict, diplomatic relations and international trade to be sure, but also reaches deep into the daily governance of states, municipalities, corporations and individuals. The current international order faces several challenges. Non-state actors, multinational corporations and international organisations challenge the traditional perception of international law as a system that is created by states and for states.

The LL.M. in Public International Law seeks to offer students the opportunity to acquire the kind of specialist knowledge and ability for critical thinking that will serve them well in professional and academic work alike, at both national and international level, in public as well as private service.
