Here we go!! Super excited to go on tour next month with something completely different 👀 Earlier this year I was co-commissioned by @kingsplacelondon and @chambermusicscotland to write a piece for piano, violin and cello, and I’ll be taking this around the UK with the amazing Tristan Gurney on violin and @juliettelemoinecello on cello. There’ll be a couple of other surprises in the concert as well… I really really enjoyed the process of writing this piece - there’s no improvising at all so it meant I could write and plan what would happen in a completely different way. I’m super happy with the result, and so hope to share it with you on one of the upcoming dates - for now, enjoy this little teaser played incredibly by @donaldgrantmusic and @sualeecello #piano #newmusic #chambermusic #trio #fergusmccreadie by @sualeecello

THE HILL — ALBUM PREMIERE ⛰️ When @findhornbayarts Festival director Kresanna Aigner asked me to be this year’s Musician in Residence, I was absolutely honoured. Moments like this take me straight back to being a wee boy from Grantown with a mad dream of becoming a professional folk musician and composer one day. In 2000, during my last year of school, I saw Flook at the Universal Hall in Findhorn - still one of the greatest gigs of my life. The musicianship, the audience reaction and the atmosphere in that room completely blew me away. Now, I have the incredible honour of returning to that same venue to premiere my fourth solo album, The Hill, on the final day of this wonderful festival. It feels like a real full-circle moment, and I’d love you to be part of it. 😊 📅 Sunday 4 October 🕓 4.00pm 📍 Universal Hall, Findhorn Bay Festival There are still some tickets available via link in my bio - please join me for this very special afternoon, with my incredible band of some of Scotland’s finest traditional musicians: Fraser Stone, Ewan Robertson, Conal McDonagh, James Lindsay, Iain MacFarlane and Su-a Lee. by @sualeecello
