Turning 24 was rather wild. I definitely didn’t *not not* cry, it’s basically a birthday ritual at this point, tears just show up uninvited every single year. But this time it was actually because of how loved I felt, and not because some random group of people were making me doubt myself. I actually let myself feel things instead of speed running past them like usual.
Everything else though? Completely unhinged in the best way. Planned a staycation on impulse, packed my bags drunk (we were critically close to passing out ngl), and ran away from Mumbai for one night straight into a no-network black hole. Forgot literally every essential. Including birthday accessories. Iconic behaviour.👑
Didn’t spend even one minute panicking over what to wear, just threw on a top and jeans and called it a day. Took a few work calls on my day off because apparently rest is not in my vocabulary anymore. And then spent the night laughing so hard with the gang that I failed to recall the last time I laughed like that.
So yeah. Happy birthday to me, I guess. We really said healing arc and meant it this year. 🥂 taken in Karjat by @subhangi.writes
