Shoutout to longtime friends of The Pier, Sublime, for reaching No. 1 on the U.S. Alternative Mediabase chart with “Until the Sun Explodes.”

Featuring founding members Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh alongside Jakob Nowell on vocals and guitar, the song gives Sublime their second consecutive No. 1 at Alternative Radio following the success of “Ensenada.”

The milestone is another huge moment in Sublime’s new chapter.

This USA celebrated 250 years and The Republic was formed by rebellion against tyranny from a 3% tea tax don’t forget? Bradley had the spirit of patriot and revolutionary by the way he lived the music that he wrote it’s actually crazy how his music plays an integral part of the fabric of this country. The televised eclectic line up @sublime to The All American Rejects irony at its finest? We all are a living part of this country’s story and journey. If you where a OG Sublime friend, fan this is truly mind blowing. I’m still trying to make sense of it all from Brad’s untimely passing before he had a million dollars and his catalog generating GDP of third world countries to his son @jakobnowell public heroes journey, the reformation of his father’s band 28 years later to the recharging success that came after and new album presently. You couldn’t script a better feel good comeback story. Rock and Roll is purely American invention and to see Sublime on a national stage mainstream tv celebrating 250 years on ABC Disney Hulu 30 years later is a wish full filled a dream come true for millions. I just imagine Brad smiling down from above that his voice created this and his lyrics, frequency is in the fabric of this country forever.
