Welcome to Fall 2026!

More than 400 student nurses are beginning the academic year on The Bluff energized and ready to learn, lead, serve, and care for communities across Louisiana and beyond.

As we celebrate 40 years of nursing excellence, today’s assembly was a powerful reminder that our legacy continues through the next generation. As part of the largest college in the Southern University System, our student clinicians represent our continued commitment to strengthening Louisiana’s healthcare workforce pipeline.

We are preparing for more than careers. We are preparing to meet critical workforce needs, expand access to care, and improve the health of the communities that need us most.

For 40 years, one truth has remained at the heart of who we are:

💜🏛️ Yesterday, Southern University Student Nurses’ Association had the opportunity to attend 988 Day at the Louisiana State Capitol, coming together with our community to bring awareness to mental health and the importance of having support when you need it most. 🫂

It served as a powerful reminder that you are never alone, your mental health matters, and help is always within reach.
