BALTIMORE’S FREE, ALL AGES, DIY MUSIC FEST ⚡️⚡️⚡️

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

That’s a wrap. 55 artists over three days and thousands of attendees. Stages were dived, hotdogs were surfed, and meatballs were dropped.

This year Subscape reached new heights with Current Space and Le Mondo both hitting capacity our opening night and ending with a line down the block to get in to see Pinkshift. This festival has grown from the simple idea of giving weirdos and punks a place to perform during Artscape to becoming a flagship festival in its own right.

Thank you to the artists, venues, volunteers, sponsors, artists/graphic designers, Indiegogo contributors, and anyone who helped in ways big and small. Baltimore is a city built on DIY and we couldn’t be more proud of our community for coming together to make such an incredible event happen year after year.

If there is one thing we want Baltimore to take away from Subscape it’s that YOU can make cool shit happen in this city. Don’t ask for permission or wait for someone else to do it. Strive to make this city what you want it to be. See you next time.

At long last and without further ado, the lineup for Subscape 2026 is OOOUUUTTTTTT……..

As always, we will announce some late-breaking additions, but, honestly, this line-up is already absolute insanity! We’re packed with HARDCORE, INDIE, PUNK, METAL, and everything in between. All Baltimore’s best. Rest up, kids. Soon there will be nothing left to do but rush the pit yelling “DIY or Die.”

ABOUT SUBSCAPE

Subscape is a 3 day, 3 stage, 60+ band celebration of the subversive elements fueling Baltimore’s bleeding-edge underground. Like Baltimore's previous "Scapes" (Ratscape, Whartscape, Scape Scape, and Mix Tape), Subscape is a DIY, all-volunteer effort to uplift local artists and musicians.

THE DIFFERENCE? THIS FESTIVAL IS COMPLETELY FREE TO ATTEND!

Subscape runs FRI AUG 28 through SUN AUG 30 at Le Mondo and Current Space.

This year's line up includes (more TBA):

Soul Glo, Dosser, Consumer Culture, Spring Silver, Combat, Gasket, Father Sokka + T.A.T., My Wife's An Angel, Super City, Psyop, Natural Velvet, Giji, Pearl, Euclid C Finder, Small, Friday Junior, The Smashing Times, Alex Silva, Fetcher, Meth Rats, Coffin Nachtmahr, The Dead Ringers, Mind On Fire, Jupie, Cryptid Summer, Onegirl37razors, Samskara, Twings, Credit, Leedy Peoples, F City, Grail, The Shroos, Music Mouse, Sleepy Sword, Legends of Etc, Crows Foot, The Beach People, Fish Funeral, Krack. Nerve Ending, Sahin, Suburban Abuse, Salon, LCL FMS, Bag of Humans, Benign Impact, Bitter Tits + MORE TO COME

Our team set out to make Subscape FREE because we want to open up the Baltimore music underground. Our city has one of the best music scenes on the planet and it deserves to be championed by everyone who lives here.

BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!! Next week, we're launching an Indiegogo to help raise money to make sure every band gets paid. Think of this as buying a ticket for a friend. Perks include shirts, posters, and VIP passes. Anything you can donate will help or even just sharing the link.

There are bands who have sets so good you just keep thinking about them much later. Soul Glo is one of those bands. Not only am I still thinking about their set at Subscape 2026, but I still think about their 2022 performance at Zika Farm. If you have the chance to see this Philly band that perfectly blends hardcore punk, noise rock, and hip-hop, it may very well be that kind of experience for you. taken in Le Mondo by @subscape2026

Finally seeing Gasket live at Subscape 2026 was more than a treat, it was the highlight of the festival for me. They didn’t just live up to their recorded songs, they brought a live energy and polish that blew me away. The room had reached capacity, the ceiling was sweating, and I couldn’t move around to any other vantage points, but I was lucky to be so close to the stage. These shots do not do it justice to this metallic hardcore punk performance, you have to see them live. Go see them at Metro Baltimore on September 24, with Scalp and Nerve Ending. It’s going to be insane. taken in Le Mondo by @subscape2026

Euclid C Finder is like a PHD in mathcore. My brain just keeps finding new interesting things in their songs. I grew up with Dillinger and Converge, so the pace is satisfying, but there are so many unusual things going on here, that you have to stop and think about what’s going on. During their set at Subscape 2026, the guitarist of another band told me he felt like he just learned something, and he was right, it was almost chaotically academic. taken in Le Mondo by @subscape2026
