A deconstruction of silence, pushed to the physical limit.

Before you — the anatomy of a locked voice.
A voice left with only its contours.

Torn, scorched edges.
A heavy mass of threads.
The dull tension of metal wire —
cutting into the paper while holding its structure together.

Beads frozen along the seams,
like drops of someone else’s tension.

Metal pushes against paper,
creating a framework for what
can no longer be spoken.

THE BINDING.

Every layer of this artwork is built from unsaid thoughts.
Stitching the mouth with dark threads is a physical
process of capturing a voice that was forced to be quiet.

On the outside it is beautiful, but on the inside it is stitched with pain.

The eyes embroidered on the deconstructivist portrait signify a gaze extremely obsessed with a false sense of guilt imposed by others.
The irregular black stitches and the scorched edges symbolize the inner boundary physically erected to protect an independent residual thought.

The yellow sunflower — the subconscious that
drives you to act perfectly out of fear.

The beaded chain — what is almost
impossible to break.
