Late gratitude post for getting to hold a live looped soundbath at Love Portal 🌀. 2nd soundbath in the books! 🍃 Guiding the spoken meditation and weaving that journey with my own music was my favorite portion. I have practiced and taught different forms of meditation for a long time and guiding people into their subtle, expansive and tender interiors is what I live for. ✨

Huge thanks to EVERYBODY who came out to celebrate with us 🎉 dance wildly, crack open, and let loose.

Thanks especially to @nahmeannick for hosting, putting EVERYTHING together and anchoring in this vision, @isabelcaroline for holding a sweet and deep opening ceremony and @jenna__dreams for her beautiful Icaro singing 🎶 . And, to @core_ofearth for 📸 and @dharmabumsnewhope for a beautiful space.

Additional gratitude for @fayeadindamusic for her being and bringing me back to my body prior and @dannypresencia for a timely musical delivery mid-set. 🎶

I love all of you ♥️🌀🎶. This style of soundbath music I owe largely to my time travelling and living in Lake Atitlan Guatemala, Costa Rica and a few different parts of Mexico — and the traditions, nature and rhythms there that reconnect me to parts of myself through which this music can express... among various other influences 🍃.

October 10th Ecstatic Beacon welcomes Matthew Beck and Malerie Day!

Opening the event with Slow Flow Warm Up with Live Music and Closing with a soundbath.

Matthew and Malerie bring a unique level of musicality and beauty to the sound bath experience. We offer a fully live-looped, ambient sound journey, weaving together world flutes, vocal harmonies, guitars, handpan, shamanic drum, rattles, and synths to create a living soundscape for listeners to journey beneath the surface into their own ethereal and formless nature. We work with sound and voice as forms of healing and prayer—blending intuitive melodies and frequencies with presence as an invitation to soften, open, and journey inward.

This is an epic duo, and we’re super psyched to have them join us this October! 🔥

Let's meet on the dance floor.

🌀WORKSHOP FEATURE: Opening the Intuition: Learning to See, Read and Heal Energy (A Ceremonial Workshop with Cacao) 🌀

Led by @subtle.energetics

In this ceremonial workshop, learn how to open your spiritual senses to “see”, read, heal and work with energy. We will explore different senses, how to open and close our senses, play with the ways they manifest and we will learn energy hygiene tools such as shielding, grounding, removing other’s energy from our fields, expanding our energy, cleaning our energy, setting our energy and more. We will then pair up for two partner exercises and learn how to give and receive an intuitive reading to another person.

Don’t worry, it’s super easy! We are all working with energy and intuition all day long — by learning how to focus awareness we can expand our gifts.

Matthew is an Intuitive Reader, Energy Healer, and Sound Journey Facilitator who creates soundscapes with live-looped flutes, guitar, percussion, bowls, guided meditation, and recordings from nature. He guides meditations with the aim to transport listeners beyond the surface into their ethereal nature, presence, and spiritual dimensions within and through the body.

(You will also see him being a musician throughout the weekend, with Moving Mandala!)

Join Matthew and Krystina of @soothingsomaticsounds at @cocoon_philly for a 2 hour Sound Bath and a heart-opening Cacao Ceremony to relax into your body and journey deep within. ☕️⠀ ⠀ ⠀

Sunday, July 26, 2-4 pm. 🦋 ⠀ ⠀.
Cocoon, Philly 📍

We'll begin with an opening cacao ceremony, intention setting and prayer, and short breathwork practice.

You’ll then lie down to be guided on an immersive and guided meditative sound journey—a blend of Krystina’s layered, angelic vocal harmonies and crystal singing bowls with Matthew’s live-looped flute melodies, handpan, shamanic drums, guitar, chimes, rattles, rainstick, nature recordings and ambient soundscapes.
⠀
Together, we’ll create an evolving celestial soundscape that melts tension, releases stress, opens your heart, and guides you into the unseen layers within.

Sound journeys relax our bodies and allow space for deeper emotions, thoughts, and insights to bubble to the surface, as well as create a container for us to go within and meet the deeper and less physical aspects of ourselves.

We work with cacao for sound journeys because cacao is great for activating our spiritual and subtle senses, helping us to have a more ludic dream-like and somatic experience in meditation. These containers are for relaxation, meditation, integration, and cultivate a therapuetic space.

Krystina’s ethereal voice and soothing bowls create a celestial soundscape that melts tension and opens the heart, while Matthew’s live looping and layered flute melodies, percussion, handpan and ambient guitar weave an experience that guides us into our own formless nature and Dreamtime space.

We focus on building unique and atmospheric soundscapes of layered sounds where multiple instruments are being played at all times. #soundhealing #soundbath #soundbathhealing #soundjourney #cacaoceremony by @subtle.energetics

A sweet collaboration unfolded over the last month between @malerie_day and myself.
We played a soundbath for the beautiful community up at @ecstaticdancenyack along with an amazing ecstatic dance by @marsseia and then a sweet tea ceremony and sound journey at @dance.beyond. ♥️ A continuation of budding collaborations from last summer and the one before that.

Here's some evidence ♥️.

We also finished our first track together (stay tuned 🫣❤️‍🔥) which we recorded in the jungle of Costa Rica, literally outdoors in the jungle at night 🌌, back in 2024. I'm excited to share that soon. It ended up capping 2.5 years of Central American travel and living abroad for me and serves as a journal entry and reminder of the states of consciousness, awareness, energies and cultures I was embodying in my Being during that time. #soundbath #handpan #meditation #soundjourney #meditationpractice by @subtle.energetics
