New College of Nurses rules for injectable treatments in Ontario take effect March 1, 2027.

What it will look like for you as a patient:

• Before starting treatment, you’ll need a face-to-face virtual assessment from a prescriber (NP or MD) and done likely on a yearly basis.
• Appointments may take a little longer due to this
• Treatments will be harder to access across the province in general
• Costs are expected to increase province-wide

This will be a difficult transition for aesthetics in Ontario. Many nurses and clinics will lose work, and some will stop offering treatments altogether.

We will update everyone when we find out more details, thank you all again for supporting us through as we adjust to the new regulations.

Most people don’t talk about this part because it’s not pretty to look at. Bruising tells me my lips have good blood flow, that they’ll heal well and the filler will integrate properly. 👩‍⚕️

Here’s my real timeline:
day 2: definitely bruised
day 10: bruising is gone

SPF is a year-round non-negotiable, and yes, that includes October, November 🍂 and the depths of a Canadian winter UV rays don’t take a season off and neither do we.

If monthly facials were just a luxury, my clients probably wouldn’t be signing up for another 6 months.

But lately, as some of our very first Facial Memberships have come to an end, I’ve had client after client ask to re-sign, and hearing why has probably been my favourite part of this whole thing 🥹

Yes, I’m hearing about fewer breakouts, compliments on their skin and changes they can actually see.

But I’m also hearing things like, “This is the best thing I’ve done for myself in a long time,” and “I didn’t realize how much I needed that time for myself every month.”
And THAT is exactly what I wanted this membership to be.

A reason to stop putting your skin on the back burner. A way to stay consistent long enough to actually see what your skin can do. And one appointment every month where, for a little while, you get to just lay down and let someone else take care of you.

And after six months? We know your skin SO much better than we did at appointment one.

A lot of people assume good aesthetic maintenance costs a lot more than it does. ✨

If I had $2,000 a year and nothing else, this is exactly how I’d spend it. Consistent skincare basics, two rounds of toxin, and one solid microneedling session. That’s it. No filler, no lasers, nothing dramatic.

Done consistently over years, this kind of plan does more for how you age than any single high-ticket treatment ever could.

Maintenance is always cheaper than correction.

Saturday was everything we hoped it would be. 🫶

Retinol is one of the skincare ingredients with decades of research behind it, and nothing else on the market does what it does.

It speeds up cell turnover, stimulates collagen production, and improves texture, tone and fine lines over time. Serums, tools and trends come and go, but retinol has stayed the gold standard for a reason. 🏆
