Subaru WRX in natural environment.

Here is my 1st lap (my slowest), very sloppy driving in mixed surface mud/gravel/clay. But it doesn't stop me from wide-open-throttle. Find the limits of surface grip and conditions, learn fast, and scale it back to and find lost time. Haven't driven awd turbo in years, first lap is practice, this is how I get in the groove quickly. Was able to climb from like 7th or 8th place to finally holding down 2nd at the finish. Need to work on some things with my driving. Im not worried about position, more concerned with improving my abilities to adapt quickly and get used to higher speeds and agility while having very little traction.

The truth doesn't need fear to keep you.
Have you been discouraged or had difficult circumstances? Use that as a learning opportunity
Come back stronger with more purpose. This is not about racing.

Anyway. The race went well.
Was able to manage 2nd Place amongst some amazing machines and drivers. Special thanks to my friends and family who support and all the people who got to ride shotgun on all my competition laps. And thank you to the volunteers and the san diego scca club for undying love of grassroots rally racing.

I'm sometimes asked why my passenger seat is usually occupied at these SCCA short-course rallycross events. Yes the extra weight CAN slow me down, but its worth introducing new people to the sport. & it's so much fun creating awesome memories 😂😂
My competitors got quicker & didn't mess up, but its the thought that counts 🫡
