Extended rounds at @subxc by @subxc
Started boxing in Australia 🥊 Training at the Sydney University Boxing Club. The coaches and teammates are all so kind. Even though my English isn't great, they take the time to explain things slowly and simply, and sometimes even use body language to make sure I get it. I was so anxious coming abroad for the first time, but just having a place where people welcome me so warmly makes this whole experience a huge success. It hurts, it’s scary, and it’s tough—but it’s even more fun than all of that. Grateful every single day for the opportunity to do what I love. Huge thanks to everyone at the Sydney University Boxing Club. Truly, thank you for everything! Just wait—I'm gonna put on an amazing show🔥 #boxing #sydneyuni #オーストラリア #ワーホリ by @subxc

We spent some time down at @subxc to see some of the behind the scenes work they’ve been cooking up. by @subxc
Last month, we had two club members perform at Paddo Punch-On21 at @paddorsl . It was a lively affair with a solid showing of team members and friends coming in to lend their support. First off was Victor, who was paired up with a fast, lengthy opponent with an impressive skillset. Vic showed off everything he'd been working on during his camp, utilising a deep bag of tricks, a high pace and sharp combination punching to win the bout in good fashion. Following him was Henry, who was making his debut against a tall Southpaw opponent in his second outing. Henry had been putting a lot of work in at the gym and showed a lot of grit, but his opponent's composure, footwork and punch selection proved to be too much on the night. We are looking forward to seeing both in the ring again soon, with Vic confirming that he will be competing again in late September (Henry is TBC, but is keen to have another run at it). Thanks @sydneyfightleague for once again putting on a great show and look forward to seeing you again soon! . . . . . #boxing #boxinglife #usyd #sydneyuni #motivation by @subxc

🥊 MEN’S WELTERWEIGHT BOUT It’s about as evenly matched on paper as it gets, with 18-year-old Ruari Brown from Jabout taking on 29-year-old Victor Zhu from Sydney Uni Boxing Club, with both men carrying identical 1-1 records into Friday night. Coached by Mark Grech, Brown heads to the Paddo for his third competitive outing. Across the ring, Aram Tayebi and Glenn Richards-trained Zhu is set to make his third appearance under the bright lights on Oxford Street. Same record. Same opportunity to edge ahead. Time to split the difference. 🎪 The Paddo Punch-On 21 📍 Paddo Diggers 🗓️ Friday 21 August 2026 🚪 Doors open 5:00pm 🥊 First fight 5:15pm 🎟️ TICKETS — LINK IN BIO 🎫 GA Adults: $60 🧑‍🧒‍🧒 U18s: $40 (door only) 🍽️ RINGSIDE TABLE SEATS • $110pp — Uncatered • $160pp — Two-course meal • $220pp — Two-course meal + beer, wine & soft drink package 🍻 Round up your crew and make a night of it by @subxc
One of the best things about boxing is getting to witness peoples' journeys unfold. Learning how to wrap their hands, being present for lightbulb moments, watching them dig deep to push themselves through self-doubt... You learn a lot about yourself in the end, but like everything in life, you'll realise that it was never about the destination. #iykyk . . . . . . . #boxinglife #boxing #sydneyuni #journey by @subxc
🥊 78KG MEN’S CATCHWEIGHT Two seriously tall operators collide at Paddo this Friday night. At 193cm, Ben Berkeley from Standup Boxing Castle Hill is back in the ring and chasing that elusive first win under coach David Jenkins. Standing opposite him will be 190cm debutant Henry Armstrong-Bailey from Sydney Uni Boxing Club, coached by Aram Tayebi & Glenn Richards. Plenty of reach, plenty of leverage — and nowhere to hide. 👀 🎪 The Paddo Punch-On 21 📍 Paddo RSL 🗓️ Friday 21 August 2026 🚪 Doors open 5:00pm 🥊 First fight 5:15pm 🎟️ TICKETS — LINK IN BIO 🎫 GA Adults: $60 🧑‍🧒‍🧒 U18s: $40 (door only) 🍽️ Ringside Tables: • $110pp — Uncatered • $160pp — Two-course meal • $220pp — Two-course meal + beer, wine & soft drink package Round up your crew and make a night of it. 🥊🍻 by @subxc
