Mười năm sau triển lãm cá nhân đầu tiên tại Việt Nam, nghệ sĩ Pháp gốc Việt Suby One trở lại với 𝑁𝑂𝑊 / 𝐻𝑖𝑒̣̂𝑛 𝑇𝑎̣𝑖, một bước chuyển trong ba thập kỷ thực hành nghệ thuật của anh.

Bắt nguồn từ năng lượng của graffiti - tốc độ, cử chỉ và sự tự do - ngôn ngữ hội họa của Suby One giờ đây hướng vào bên trong. Giữa những lớp màu, đường nét và chuyển động dày đặc xuất hiện một hình chữ nhật trắng mà anh gọi là NOW: khoảnh khắc của sự nhận biết và hiện diện tuyệt đối.

𝑁𝑂𝑊 / 𝐻𝑖𝑒̣̂𝑛 𝑇𝑎̣𝑖 đặt người xem giữa sự hỗn độn của một tâm trí không ngừng chuyển động và khoảng tĩnh lặng hiếm hoi khi ta thực sự có mặt.

SUBY ONE — NOW / HIỆN TẠI

Ten years after his first solo exhibition in Vietnam, Franco-Vietnamese artist Suby One returns with 𝑁𝑂𝑊 / 𝐻𝑖𝑒̣̂𝑛 𝑇𝑎̣𝑖, marking a new turn in his three-decade artistic practice.

Rooted in the energy of graffiti — speed, gesture, and freedom — Suby One’s painterly language now turns inward. Amid dense layers of color, marks, and movement emerges a recurring white rectangle he calls NOW: a moment of awareness and absolute presence.

𝑁𝑂𝑊 / 𝐻𝑖𝑒̣̂𝑛 𝑇𝑎̣𝑖 places us between the restless noise of a mind in constant motion and the rare stillness of being fully present.

NOW / HIỆN TẠI, triển lãm cá nhân của nghệ sĩ Pháp gốc Việt Suby One, đã chính thức khai mạc tại QSAM. Dù trời mưa lớn, buổi khai mạc vẫn có sự tham dự đông đảo của nghệ sĩ, bạn bè và khách tham quan.

Bắt nguồn từ graffiti và văn hóa đường phố, thực hành của Suby One mang tốc độ, cử chỉ và năng lượng của graffiti lên toan. Trong NOW / HIỆN TẠI, những lớp màu và đường nét giàu chuyển động đối lập với motif hình chữ nhật trắng — NOW — như một khoảnh khắc của sự nhận biết và hiện diện giữa những tạp âm của đời sống đương đại.

NOW / HIỆN TẠI, a solo exhibition by Franco-Vietnamese artist Suby One, is now open at QSAM. Despite the heavy rain, the opening brought together a great crowd of artists, friends, and visitors.

Rooted in graffiti and street culture, Suby One’s practice brings the speed, gesture, and energy of graffiti onto canvas. In NOW / HIỆN TẠI, layers of color and movement meet a recurring white rectangle — NOW — a moment of awareness and presence amid the noise of contemporary life.

Big shout-out to everyone who made it to my exhibition 🙏⛈️ It definitely wasn’t easy with that heavy rain, so much respect and love to you all!
Ihadn’t shown works on canvas for almost 10 years, so it was incredibly special to finally share these pieces with everyone. ❤️
