It had been raining since yesterday morning, and we quietly wondered what the day would bring.The auditorium was overflowing.People came through the rain to stand beside the real heroes - the Forest Department,’s team from Jaldapara National Park and Cooch Behar, who rescued 13 flood-displaced rhinos over 52 tireless days after the 2025 floods.It was SHER’s honour to felicitate them. To us, they are the biggest celebrities.A heartfelt thank you to everyone who braved the rain to be there.
