Bodyboarding season is onnnn!
Yes it was a little murky (weather not water)
Yes it looked like the middle of winter
Yes it was low tide and we had to walk for an hour just to get to the waves (slight exaggeration)

It's been too long!
Back at Campbell's Bay for my first bodyboard in months. Yes the water is fresh (10.6 according to @surfforecast) so about the same as the air with wind chill
But so much fun, short sharp high tide vibes and so much sand has come back to the beach - woohoo!

Brrrr! The car said it was 1deg when I arrived at the beach this morning. It also, helpfully had a little ice crystal symbol by the temp. Nat tells me that's the symbol to tell you you need to stop for ice cream! Genius!
Anyhoo, the sea looked so flat, but once we'd tried out to the low tide waters edge, it was actually good, really good!
So much fun
Water temp is 12deg, so it was time to dig out the booties and gloves

So good to be back at the beach (not so much the 6deg after thinking 10deg in town was a little chilly) the water is still 14deg)

What better than an anniversary day morning on the waves (even tho I was v late due to sleep, but holiday traffic meant a quick trip to get to the beach)
Beautiful warm waters, lovely waves (that I'd we hadn't had amazing waves on Saturday, would be amazing in themselves)
It's so refreshing to get out into the sea

Such a cracking day out at All Day Bay, we've been away for a couple of weeks and the waves welcomed us with open arms. Beautiful glassy conditions with the biggest waves we've had in an age
Also my first day using @swell.scope.app for checking the tides and conditions. You can add your own journal entries of your experience of the conditions. So good

Now that was a cracker morning on the waves. Almost low tide and the best waves for a long time (attorney yesterday was better but I was at work so it doesn't count hahaha), some great battling waves with long runs in, and not so cold. What more could we want for?

Low tide on shore mayhem! After yesterday's conditions perfect for oceanic activities, today not so much. But still fun! Lots of wind driven waves that aren't really up for much, but then we had some nice full waves develop

Beautiful morning out bodyboarding. Pity the ocean didn't get the memo, it's basically a giant lake at the moment, although we still managed to catch some good waves. No dolphins, no seals, but there was us
