Somewhere in the English countryside,
autumn feels a little slower🍂🐑🐄🦮

A quiet walk along the winding paths, golden leaves dancing in the breeze, the crisp air, and the kind of beauty that makes you stop for a moment and simply take it all in.

No rush, no plans, just me, nature and a little escape from the everyday.

Perhaps this is what falling in love with autumn looks like 🍁

A little sweetness to welcome the colder days ahead. 🌰🍂

Candied chestnuts, slowly simmered with care until they become tender, glossy, and delicately sweet.

From preparing each chestnut to patiently letting them soak up all that gentle sweetness, this is definitely a labor of love. It takes time, patience, and quite a bit of effort, but some things are simply worth slowing down for.

Not too sweet, not too subtle. Just the perfect balance that lets the natural, nutty flavor of the chestnuts shine through.

And somehow, after all that work, one little bite makes it all worthwhile🤎

A jar of homemade sweetness, ready to make the coming winter feel a little warmer.

Wandering through the autumn market when suddenly, the sweetest melody drifted through the air. 🍂
I looked around to find where it was coming from… and there she was, singing from a balcony above.

It felt like stumbling into a scene from a movie.
Autumn air, soft music, a little bit of ✨
Romance overload. 🎞️🤎

Came across these beauties while grocery shopping, tucked away next to the Halloween pumpkins! 🎃🍎
I’d never tried an apple with naturally red flesh before, so of course, I had to give it a go.
These are British Kissabel apples, and look at that gorgeous red inside!😍
Sweet, crisp, and just the right amount of tartness. Have you ever tried one?🍎

Met this little attention-seeking devil on my walk today🐈😼 Known for making its presence VERY known, this fluffy menace will meow, flop over, and show off that precious tummy until you give in to its demands for pets and compliments. And honestly… what can a human do but surrender to such cuteness?🥹💗

It started as a wholesome little family outing and some harmless window shopping… 🛍️

The weather’s getting colder, so we thought we’d head out, wander around, browse a few shops, and enjoy the weekend together.

Well… “just browsing” didn’t quite go to plan😂😬
We came home with handfuls of shopping bags, very full hearts, and wallets that are suddenly feeling a little… lighter😂💸

Would I do it again?
Absolutely😂🤎

Some things travel a very long way just to make you feel a little closer to home🇰🇷🇬🇧

A box from my parents, all the way from Korea, filled with their homegrown gochugaru and all the little things I grew up eating.

Perilla leaf pickles, dried radish strips, sweet black beans, stir-fried anchovies, and shredded dried squid…
plus roasted seaweed, kimbap seaweed sheets, and dried filefish for my snack cravings🥹

Maybe that’s why food feels so special sometimes.
It’s not just food. It’s a little piece of home, sent all the way across the miles❤️

I always thought dolls and toys were for kids… until I followed my daughter into the magical world of Jellycat😂

And somehow, there I was, completely enchanted, picking up one fluffy little creature after another and wondering how they were all so ridiculously cute🥹😍

They’re cute, they’re whimsical, they’re dangerously adorable… but somehow, I managed to keep my purse shut. 😂💸

Autumn is creeping in, and these are the last two cucumbers from our garden this year🥒🥲

Not quite ready to say goodbye to summer, so naturally, I had to turn them into a bowl of spicy Korean bibim noodles. A little sweet, a little tangy, a little kick of heat… just the way I like it😋

The garden might be moving on to autumn, but I’m holding on to summer one last slurp at a time😂

A few of you have asked for the recipe, so here it is! 🥰

Although, if I’m being honest, I rarely measure anything properly 😂 It always tastes best when you just eyeball everything and adjust it to your own taste!

🌶️ My go-to bibim noodle sauce:
• 2 tsp minced garlic
• 2 tbsp gochujang (Korean chilli paste)
• 1 tbsp sugar
• 2 tbsp vinegar (any kind works!)
• 2 tbsp soy sauce
• 1 tbsp gochugaru (Korean chilli flakes)
• A dollop of rice syrup (or any sweetener you like — or leave it out!)
• 1 tsp grated ginger
• 1 grated apple

Mix everything together, toss with your noodles, and adjust to taste. Want it tangier? Add a splash more vinegar. Prefer it sweeter or spicier? You know what to do! 😉
