🎂🌭 Happy 80th E̶n̶c̶h̶i̶ Birthday @john_prine! We sure miss you down here. I can't almost believe this photo is now 16 years old. 💙☂️

💛 So much happened since we captured this moment - from the amazing greats to the awful worsts. JP has been there through it all, being my hype tracks for life. I could never thank him or @fprine @ohboyrecords enough for that- even if I live til 80 years old. My way of thanking shows up in Nate singing Paradise to himself while doing Legos or drawing or Soph and I singing together by heart to any number of his tunes in the car. That is the best feeling when your kids love something you love so dearly. My gift is another generation of fans, still doesn't seem enough.

💛 I think its been 25 years since I first heard my first JP songs. Dear Abby and Please Don't Bury Me took me in hook, line and sinker. Thats over half my life now, I can't almost believe that. Life is a blessin.'

💛 This is now the 4th year Mom is partying at the Tree of Forgiveness with my Dad (he's been cutting a heavenly rug for 15 years), 6 years for our 🐶Polly girl (not lost, was found), and our 🐱Treena has now been underfoot for almost year. I miss them all like crazy, bless their little hearts.

💛 Now if you got through all that longwindedness, I appreciate you. You've earned a cocktail, vodka and ginger ale, and go play some JP music today.

All set for smooshing 1941s and 1976s tomorrow! That's a legit silver 1941 quarter! Thanks to my mom and dad for leaving me such cool stuff like this. Smooshing their birth year wheat pennies, too, in their honor to put on their grave. They'd of loved this train passing through our hometown. Best parents ever. I'd choochoose them every time. by @sue_umbrella
