finally finally finally ... my seoul guide is here! i poured everything i learned from my life here these last 2 years into this guide. it's so extensive i really feel like i wrote a book!
i'm so happy to share Part I on my substack now: an intro to the city, a thorough neighborhood breakdown, and most importantly, the BEST RESTAURANTS IN SEOUL 🍚💭 according to yours truly. over 70 places to discover truly one of the world's best food cities in the entire world -- try fish you've never heard of, sooo many vegetables you didn't even know existed, the fattiest meltiest beef in your life (sorry, wagyu!), life-changing kimchi (and countless other pickled fermented goodies), world-famous K fried chicken, plus enjoy the best shaved ice of your life, fluffiest butteriest pastries and so so soooo much more.

"Writing a guide to Seoul was the catalyst for my entire Substack when I started it at the top of this year, but I opened with the Tokyo guide because that seemed more feasible to start and finish. I didn’t know where to start with Seoul, my home away from home, my birthplace, and the most incredible city in the world. I get so intimidated by the thought of having to somehow summarize my favorite parts of this city, that I’ve bumped this to the bottom of my to-do list for almost a year now. But finally, I’ve decided to bite the bullet.
I’m not exactly the type to throw a bunch of shop and restaurant names on a list and hand it over. With Seoul, more than any other city, I find myself wanting to carefully explain things and with intention. owning a business is like drinking a never-ending emotional cocktail of the happiest & most confident you've ever felt while simultaneously being the most stressed & nervous you've ever been, all on repeat one 🔂. nevertheless it's incredibly fun, very very eye-opening/humbling, and Thee most fulfilling . i'm learning as i go but truly feel like i am on the right rollercoaster now🎢
