Bittersweet is an understatement. While I know Riley has some great adventures ahead, I’m going to miss her greatly. Saying goodbye was very rough but I know we’ll both be ok. Cheers to Riley and UChicago! taken in The University of Chicago by @suezrosey

We are onto Plan F. And F is not for Francis Hall - the new honors dorm Campbell was to move into in 2 weeks. F is for - well, you can fill in the blanks. Late yesterday, after being in Chicago for less than 24 hours, Loyola decided to close the dorms for the upcoming semester. They were unprepared for managing 700+ students who had to quarantine before/during school and they had “public health concerns”. While I understand their concerns, we are beyond disappointed and shocked that they chose to do this NOW!! The college class of 2024 has been cheated out of so many things this year and it’s a bitter pill to swallow. I’m trying to look at the bigger picture and realize everyone is struggling thru this in their own way. We are lucky to have our good physical health but the mental side has suffered greatly. Anyhoo...we will stay here a couple more days then head back home so Campbell can begin her first semester online. 🙄And then we get to wait and worry to see if Riley will be heading back here in September! 🤞 taken in Chicago, Illinois by @suezrosey

Quarantine Day 2: Campbell and I started our 14 day quarantine in Chicago yesterday before we move her into Loyola. This is our temporary home - a spacious (not) suite. It is, however, a great location and I’m happy to be out of the heat! Only 12 more days to go! 😳 taken in Chicago, Illinois by @suezrosey

Even though it’s a bittersweet end to high school for these two, I couldn’t be more proud. They are both graduating Summa Cum Laude and while today was supposed to be their graduation, we do get to celebrate on the rescheduled date July 30. Cheers to you two! Love you so much and I can’t wait to visit you in Chicago! by @suezrosey

I cannot believe these two are 18 years old! And I’m so sad they have to celebrate this milestone now but we will make the most of it! Happy happy birthday my gorgeous, smart and amazing girls! by @suezrosey

It’s official! Both girls will brave the Windy City weather next fall. Riley at UChicago studying physics. Campbell at Loyola studying classics. I’m so proud and excited for these two but I will miss them greatly! by @suezrosey
