New research & development visual I crafted a few days ago — Super Symvol, Fleurs d’Opium. The main goal was to let intuition take full control. No logic, no red thread. Every choice was made instinctively, and I’m really happy with the result — the textures, the intricacies and the energy.

That being said, none of this would’ve been possible without @p5xjs and @processingorg. I built a couple of interactive tools on these platforms that made the whole asset creation/modification process way more engaging — adding that postmodern, ambiguous touch I’m drawn to.

Swipe for a few behind-the-scenes shots showing some of the coded tools and experiments that led to this outcome.

Resonant Void: The Photography of Geert Goiris

A conceptual event poster inspired by the cinematic and surrealistic work of Geert Goiris. The design blends minimalist composition, lithographic press-inspired typefaces, and textures to evoke a timeless, atmospheric quality that mirrors the contemplative nature of his photography.

Typefaces : Xanh mono + Droulers

RES. & DEV.

“D7.CSEWF” is a visual experiment inspired by the revolutionary aesthetic of Ray Gun magazine, for which David Carson was the art director and lead designer. This project merges web tools that I coded with p5.js and Processing.

Carson’s messy grunge and typographic approach is at the heart of this design, where each element is deliberately altered to create rich, textured visual chaos. Seemingly mundane images are reinterpreted, taking on new forms through transformation algorithms, and are then assembled into a composition that defies conventional logic. As Carson says, “Don’t confuse readability with communication. Just because something is readable doesn’t mean it communicates, and more importantly, it doesn’t mean it communicates the right thing.”

RES. & DEV.

postModernTribals (1,2,3) {

The genesis of these designs emerged from a structured triad;

1. GENERATING : I initiated the process by generating random shapes or letters, using digital and analog methods;

2. PROCESSING : I utilized the Vector Halftone Maker web tool by Xoihazard to convert the initial design into a halftoned raster image. Afterwards, I further enhanced it with the Turbulence effect and applied a dithered effect using another web tool, Dithermark;

3. THREADING : Subsequently, I created intriguing patterns and motifs by leveraging the blend tools found within Illustrator;
