We enjoy receiving stories from our volunteers of wildlife projects happening in the local community 🌿Volunteers Alison and Jen have delivered fantastic projects this year with youth groups in Ipswich and Woodbridge, working with the Rainbows, Scouts, Guides, Brownies and in partnership with local churches. They have been working to enhance biodiversity and engage local children in nature-based activities, such as creating bug hotels, hedgehog homes, and planting pollinator-friendly flowers. 🍃 Our Wild Pages Writers Residency in November 2025 invited six talented local writers to Felixstowe library for a week to explore the connection between nature and the written word. ✍️ Here, writer Nashwa Nasreldin reflects on the week through pages of her own diary.Read the full piece at the link in our bio.📖 "When I joined Suffolk Community Libraries’ Wild Pages writing residency last November, I’d been working on a long form piece of nature writing drawing on personal experiences, current affairs and diary entries.
