Hi all! I am Shannon! I wanted to take a moment to thank you all for your amazing support over the years. This past August was my 4th year in business. It’s been a crazy journey with so many ups and downs. As many of you know, my 14 year old daughter, Maddie, moved to Heaven in the summer of 2022 from suicide. I have since created @themaddiemeldefoundation in her honor. Our focus is mental health and suicide awareness. I have also written a children’s book, @alwayswithyoubook2024, about Maddie as well that will be out soon. I am a culinary school dropout but I have been baking for over 30 years. I am also an AZ native and so is my husband. Super rare!😂 I have an amazing husband, Jason and 14 year old son, Brandon. I am a huge golf fan and my son has dreams of playing golf professionally. He is also an amazing guitar player! I am currently working towards opening my brick and mortar cookie bakery, which is my absolute dream. I am so thankful to all of you and all of my amazing customers. Meet the maker….aka the literal culinary school dropout who somehow built a cookie business. 😂🍪 Hi, I’m Shannon—the baker, owner, taste-tester, dishwasher, photographer, delivery person and professional enthusiast behind Sugar & Chip AZ. 💗 A few fun facts about me: I am an AZ native. I’ve been baking for more than 30 years. (I am old🤣.) I went to culinary school….and dropped out. No regrets. 😂 I started Sugar & Chip AZ from my Scottsdale home in 2021. Coming up on 5 years! I’m a proud Gen Xer who believes cookies taste better with good music playing. Coffee and chocolate are basically personality traits. I’m obsessed with premium ingredients, elevated classics and creating cookies that taste even better than they look. And yes….I still get ridiculously excited every time someone orders my cookies!
