From Inspiration to Completion 🖤

Christie’s invitation gave me the vision: black, silver, sophisticated, glamorous and unapologetically grown.

I took those elements and interpreted them in my own way — the dramatic black finish, silver details, textured piping, disco sparkle, florals, crown and of course, 52.

No behind-the-scenes this time because apparently I walked into the kitchen and chose violence. 😂 I went straight into creating.

The final result: edible art for my friend of 47 years. 🥹🖤

One last look at Gianna’s Seventeen. 💜🖤✨

From the original inspiration, to the AI concepts, to hours in the kitchen bringing every detail to life… this one was a whole creative journey.

The cake. The candy apples. The Rice Krispie treats. The dessert shooters. The popcorn. The custom details. The bows, bling, disco balls, lavender, black and all that Sweet 17 energy.

I loved watching this one go from an idea on a screen to a complete @sugarliciousco experience.

And now that I’ve shown y’all the inspiration, the process, the AI-to-realization and all the individual details… here’s one final look at the finished moment.

FROM INSPIRATION → AI → REALIZATION 💜🖤

It started with one flyer and a vision for Gianna’s Seventeen.

I took the inspiration, used AI to help visualize where I could take the design, and then came my favorite part…

Making it REAL.

Cake.
Candy apples.
Rice Krispie treats.
Dessert shooters.
Gourmet popcorn.
Custom Gianna details throughout.

AI can help me see the vision…

but these hands still have to create it. 😉🎂

ABOUT A WEEK AGO… 🎶😂💜🖤

This time last week, I was in the kitchen bringing Gianna’s Seventeen to life.

When the planner sent me the theme, I knew this couldn’t just be cake and treats. It needed to feel like one complete experience: black, lavender, disco balls, bows, bling, and all the 17-year-old IT GIRL energy. ✨

So we created the whole @sugarliciousco moment:
cake, candy apples, Rice Krispie treats, dessert shooters, gourmet popcorn… right down to the custom Gianna 17 details. 💜

And baby, seeing everything come together on that table?! 😮‍💨

From inspiration ➡️ design ➡️ late-night kitchen ➡️ REAL LIFE.

I am SO proud of how it turned out.

Part Two: The Anniversary Cake ❤️🎂

One year later, and I got to celebrate Keshonta + Aaron all over again. 🥂

One of my favorite things I offer my Sugarlicious couples is a complimentary first-anniversary cake as part of their wedding package. Because after the wedding day is over, I love being able to give my couples one more sweet moment to celebrate 365 days of marriage. ❤️

For Keshonta + Aaron, I wanted their anniversary cake to feel romantic, fun and personal — red roses, hearts, touches of gold, and an edible calendar marking the date that started it all: October 5th. ❤️🗓️

And underneath all that pretty? Strawberry cake. 🍓

Now, this little cake did enjoy a slightly extended stay before making it home. 😂 She had her photoshoot, got admired, sat pretty, minded her business… and eventually made her way to the anniversary couple where she belonged. 🤣🎂

Keshonta & Aaron, I hope you enjoy every bite of your cake and had a beautiful first-anniversary celebration. ❤️

Happy 1st Anniversary again! Here’s to year two, more memories, more laughter, more love… and hopefully fewer overnight accommodations for the anniversary cake next year. 🤣🥂

Happy 1st Wedding Anniversary to Keshonta & Aaron! 🥂💍

One year ago, I had the honor of creating their wedding cake for one of the sweetest days of their lives. Today, I got to create something special to celebrate their very first year as husband and wife. 🧡

One of my favorite parts of the Sugarlicious wedding experience is that my couples receive a complimentary first-anniversary cake as part of their wedding package, because the celebration shouldn’t end when the wedding does. 🎂

Here’s to 365 days down and a lifetime to go.

PART Three: The Final Reveal 🌸🎂

You saw the concept.
You saw the setup.
Now here’s the moment it all came together.

After the stacking, the florals, the finishing touches, the little adjustments, and all the behind-the-scenes work… Vickie & Eric’s wedding cakes were officially ready for their celebration. 🤎

The bridal cake was created primarily in buttercream, with hand-painted details, silk florals, ribbon, rhinestone accents, and acrylic lettering. Eric’s groom’s cake brought in the rich chocolate tones with that textured, masculine finish to complete the look.

There’s something special about stepping back after setup and seeing the vision finally become part of the room.

From concept.
To creation.
To celebration. 🥂✨

Congratulations again, Vickie & Eric. Thank you for trusting Sugarlicious with such a beautiful part of your wedding day. 🤎
