The process behind the Premier League trophy cake! The cake was a full size replica of the real trophy and was finished in 150 sheets of pure silver leaf (yes it's edible!) to achieve the shiny finish. These are the things in life that make a lot of sense to me. 🩷🍓🍰500 baking enthusiasts, 500 top quality cakes, a pizza box, a timer, a picnic blanket and a very polite free for all. And if that wasn’t fantastic enough, Strawberry Shortcake in her full glory presiding over the whole affair. Such a fun (if not slightly bonkers) time spent assisting the lovely @sugar_monsterr with her magnificent Strawberry Shortcake cake sculpture and ridiculously cute kids cake decorating class for @cakepicnictour and @strawberryshortcake this weekend at Greenwich Park in London.The cake picnic is on a global tour - if this is your thing and it’s coming to a park near you I highly recommend it! Thanks to @boulangerie_jade and @simona.v.spennati for providing all of the kids cakes too. The kids loved it!I’m still beaming from the happy vibes. ✨ Finale Day is HERE! ✨Zoe and I have made our way back in front of the Great Hall doors… now let’s see if the outcome is the same! 🪄🏆It’s been such an incredible journey stepping into the kitchen with Zoe again—creating magical showpieces, pushing our craft, and having an absolute blast along the way. For the whole of season one we kept wishing for a challenge featuring Harry Potter’s magical beasts… and it only took 8 challenges and 2 seasons, but we finally got our wish. And wow — what a beast we were given to recreate.Inside the vertebrae of our thestral, we built an entremet layered with chocolate spiced cake, jalapeno blackberry mousse, pink peppercorn sable and tamarind marshmallow. We were stunned — and seriously delighted — to win the semifinals! And now, for the second time, we’ve made it to the finale!
