All they wanted was a little getaway.
All they got was nothing but trifle

Celebrating my parents’ 37th wedding anniversary is so special. Because it’s their first visit to Australia.
I’m really confident enough to bake, so I just try to make simple dessert that combined my Dad’s and Mum’s favourite flavour which are Chocolate and Cherry.

Well here it is, Chocolate and Cherry trifle.
Chocolate flavour on pound cake, custard and Ferrero Rocher. Cherry flovour from Amaretto and Jelly.
I can see big smile on their faces.

I love you a (choco) lot

This is me. Every time I come to brewery, first drink I always order is hot chocolate, especially in cold weather. Then I’ll have beer later (in taster glass of course ☺️)

Love this hot chocolate by the look and the taste. It’s rich and velvety, also has a pleasant hint of marshmallow, that’s not too sweet and milky, which is my thing.

I do Cherry-ish you

My first trifle. Got the recipe from my father in law when he made it last Christmas. Because I love cherry, so instead of Cointreau, I used Galliano Amaretto. But I accidentally poured it too much on strawberry sponge roll.

The next layers were vanilla custard, aeroplane port wine jelly, cream, and topped with pitted morello cherries. Then repeat the same layers.

It sinfully tasted so good. But I would recommend you not to drive after devouring two pieces.

Having a mouthwatering crispy loaded breakfast.
White bread with panko crumbed pork, whole egg gribiche, potato crisps, and coral lettuce.
Love this ultra crispy crunchy katsu.

It paired perfectly with iced mocha.
That made my day!

You are great entertainment, very a-moose-ing!

Peanut butter mousse with popcorn ice cream and topped with fresh raspberries was sublime. I’m not a peanut butter person, but this mousse is a game changer.
The flavour was incredibly rich and intense. The texture was fluffy, soft and melting on the palate.

The presentation was a sight to behold. Definitely the best mousse I’ve ever had in my life.
Don’t ask the ending, I finished it nicely. Nothing left even the crumbs.

Ready or Not Here I Crumb

My very first time baking cookies!
I decided to bake my hubby’s favourite, Chocolate Chip & Sultana Cornflake Cookies.
I also made the kids friendly ones for my bubs.

Very proud with the results. Wonderfully soft, with a delightful burst of sweet sultanas and chocolate chips, and super fun crunch from the cornflakes.
No wonder when I came back there’s only two cookies left in the jar. by @suggestataste

I’m toastally fine.

My most favourite treat for breakfast is french toast. This banana caramel French Toast stuffed with salted caramel, topped with house made banana & pretzel ice cream. Perfectly yummy!
Make this one the best in town.

Never let anyone dull your sp0rkle.

The one Must-Eat food everytime I visit Hahndorf, a contemporary village proud of its German heritage.

The 'famous' Hahndorf Inn giant crispy skin pork knuckle served with traditional potato salad, sauerkraut and jus. Over 1 kg serve. Absolutely perfect for sharing and to please everyone. The most insanely delicious dish.

This is not mission difficult, Hun.
It’s mission imPASTAble!

Craving on pasta for dinner but after strolling around for over an hour, I found that all Italian Restaurants near the place I stayed were closed. So, I decided to have in room dining (again?).

But again, the quality and depth of the dish blew me away. This crab linguine is tasty, fresh and the best part is the generous serving of delicate
crab meat.

What a simply irresistible dish!

Simplicity is the soul of eFISHciency.

The best fish & chips in town.
Love the crispness and the freshness of fish. Tasted yum with generous portion size. This literally made my weekend.
