To have first cut my teeth with film styling in such an open, appreciative environment as I had on this set, is certainly a gratitude of mine. The experience I had with Sugar was personal from beginning to end. Not only with how I saw so much of myself in the characters I was allowed colour to life, or bonding with the fantastic crew, but also in meeting the writer + producer Sarah.

Sarah and I met years ago when we were getting our nails done by a friend, and our appointments had overlapped. I was only beginning with my styling work, to which Sarah offered me some advice. So to come full circle years later, me being an experienced independent stylist and working on her film, it feels like a blessing.

The design I had chosen that day was lettering across my nails spelling “RICH BITCH”. This became a little Easter egg / inside joke you can look out for in the film.

See you at the screening on September 7th xx
