I see some new faces and I wanted to say hi! I’m Syd, the person behind Suite Escapes by Syd, and we’re coming up on three years of planning trips that people actually remember. I am a proud member of Fora X, an invitation only network reserved for Fora’s top advisors. This means stronger connections with those in the industry and access to even more resources which allows me to plan elevated trips that feel tailored to you.

Here’s what I’m about: I don’t do generic. I’ll tell you the room that’s worth the splurge and the one that isn’t, the destinations that are hidden gems, the restaurant that’s actually good versus the one that just photographs well. Three years in, I’ve developed strong opinions and zero shame about sharing them because isn’t that kind of the whole point? The fun part of this job is curating special occasions (such as proposals, graduation trips, honeymoons, and milestone anniversary trips) and matching clients to the hotel that’s genuinely the right one for them — not just the obvious one or the one that you see all over Instagram. Behind the scenes, I’ve built real relationships with the people who matter (sales, reservations, and on-the-ground teams), so you’re looked after like the VIP you are, from booking to checkout.

A little more about me: my favorite stay ever is Longitude 131° in Uluru, the most iconic might be Le Sirenuse in Positano, my favorite hotel perk is roundtrip airport transfers (small thing, but it makes a huge difference), my airline of choice is Delta and I need a window seat, I love a good hotel robe, am a chronic overpacker, and will always defend a sea view room. Australia is my favorite country to visit, and Borneo and Seoul are at the top of my must-visit list someday.
