Exactly a year ago, today I saw a light. A light that changed my entire life. A light shining from a cross that made a five year long, determined to prove Christianity wrong atheist, turn around to Christ. A light that took me from the lowest point of my life to the happiest point my life. A year ago, today I met Christ.
When God met me at a point of loneliness, I was proud, sinful and filled with hatred for God. All it took to turn around, love God and find peace in God was a prayer. A five second prayer to accept God as my savior changed the past 18 years of my life that lead me to that moment. A five second prayer.
How great is God’s sacrifice that such a heavy load of my sins was lifted in a single five second prayer.
The last year of meeting God and getting to know him and getting to love him more and more has been the greatest year of my life. I’ve changed and grown in ways that I thought was a part of my personality and I thought was gonna be a part of me my whole life. God has helped me grow, helped me live and helped me love. It has been an exponential change, a change for the better and for God. To love God and to praise him is an honor, and I’m honored to live for God.
For everyone out there, God is real and he loves you. All it takes is a faith filled prayer. All it took me was a faith filled prayer.
