WORLD PHOTOGRAPHY DAY 2021

At a early age I started to take a liking into photography, more specifically of “Wildlife” as I grew fascinated by animals.

Today my appreciation for them only grows as I truly learn how unique and equally important every animal is… here are some of the animals that I am glad to have been able to spend time with and photograph and InSha Allah given the opportunity I would like to explore more into photographing many, many more species of animals from all over the world.

Sea Leopards! 🦈

A Leopard Shark resting on the dreamy sandy bottom of South Ari (Fenfushi Lagoon). For a shark you can often see resting on reefs or at sandy bottom, they’re actually one of the most evolutionarily unique sharks in the ocean.

The Leopard Shark is the only living member of the family Stegostomatidae. Unlike most shark families, which contain many living species, this entire family is represented by just this one species today.

Combined with their Endangered status, every encounter is a privilege, and a reminder of why these remarkable sharks deserve our protection.

Split seconds!

How weather patterns change from morning to afternoon and by evening.

The first image with absolute calmness and a young Bottlenose Dolphin is in the early hours of the morning and the second image of an adult Bottlenose breaching is in the afternoon now with waters more choppy and wavy and the third image of another Bottlenose dolphin is closer to sunset with waters being back to stillness.

The split second wasn’t a metaphor for these changes though, it was a metaphor for how little time you will have to photograph a dolphin out of water before you lose the opportunity at all, which often is the case with photographing dolphins in the wild.

The ocean is Earths fundamental life support-system, covering 70% of the planets surface driving global water cycles, regulating the climates and produces close to 80% of worlds oxygen and host 80% of all life on earth… without it Earth simply will cease to exist.
