Very proud to have received a Gold Award, from one of the most prestigious photography associations in the world, #swpp, this month.

Last month, judging took place for the WPPI 16X20 Print, Album and Filmmaking competition, which is held across the pond, in Las Vegas.

To add some context, WPPI’s print competition is arguably the pinnacle of print competitions, with an extensive set of rules that must be adhered to, with entrants entering from around the world, and some of whom being the “who’s who” of classic wedding photography.
When I entered, I really felt that with such a high caliber of photographers entering, there would be no indicator as to how well my images will testify against theirs, and I am very happy to have received two silver awards from possibly the most difficult wedding photography competition in the world.

I’m currently waiting for the images to be sent back, along with their fancy new counter parting ribbons. I just wanted to share the news with you guys first, who have been supportive of the hard work that goes into putting your work on the line, open for scrutiny.
And especially my friends and family who offer advice and critiques, not only on a photography level, but also on a personal level, helping me try to improve as a person and a photographer, you guys know who you are!
You can see the two images below with one being in the category of: • In Camera Artistry
"Images (sooc or straight out of camera) with no raw adjustments, retouching, Photoshop, etc. allowed"

This year I chose to enter one of the most highly regarded print competitions, being SWPP’s annual, held in London, with competitors entering from all around the world.

This weekend, I received my images back to delightfully find that I had won 12 merits, with my highest scoring image reaching 90/100.

I just wanted to thank all of you guys for the encouragement and support, I feel super blessed and genuinely appreciate it all 😊

Happy to have received my first #swpp gold certificate from the 'Association for Professional Wedding and Portrait Photographers'. One of the most prestigious associations in the world.
