POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
We’re busy making memories of a life we’re somewhere in the process of living. At the same time, you’re just there. Singing the songs, laughing at the silly jokes, watching the people you love do the things they do, in any particular glow of any particular evening. You don’t know which moments will stay. You can’t possibly know that a certain sound, a breath, the look on someone’s face from across a stage will settle somewhere behind your eyes and your heart, and rest there, with warmth, with permanence, for the rest of your life.

The days pass, the tour ends. And somehow, all those little moments have become part of you. The people with you have left their mark on the person you are, as you have on them. We keep painting this life a stroke of a brush at a time, with no idea what the whole picture will look like. For the fact that some of mine gets to look like this, I am so damn grateful ❤️

My great, great loves @snatamkaurkhalsa @bruno.justi @ramdassmusic @electricvardo ❤️

Thank you @natgeomuseum for having us inaugurate your outdoor music series on Friday and all the old and new friends for coming as we sang in solidarity with the youth 🪳 movement in India.

Big shoutout to the legend @bob_boilen for these beautiful photos and to whatever legend designed the magical instrument in the last slide.

Ria and I have a few shows coming up together in NYC - August 6 at Westwood Bar, August 9th at @barzakh.cafe. See you soon taken in National Geographic Museum by @sukhmanimusic

I’m so excited to let you all know that @sukhmanimusic and I will be together in Austin this week and teaching two classes!

Our first class will be in person for our Austin community at @thirdeyemeditationlounge on Sunday 6/21 at 12-1:15 CST, and our second will be online during my regular Mantra & Meditation class on Wednesday 6/24 at 10am CST via @kirtanandkundalinischool!

The theme is love and acceptance of the self. We’ll be sharing live music, yoga and meditation, and some of the things we’ve both learned about meeting ourselves with a little more kindness and love, and a little less judgment!

We look forward to being with you, to slow down, sing together, laugh (I’m sure there will be a lot of this..!), and connect.

❤️❤️❤️

April. The road ❤️
I’m a little late, and not even really sure how to sum this one up!

We share thousands of miles and a closeness that builds when you sit side by side, eat together, spill to each other, hold each other, play together night after night, when you’ve had that ritual for years.

Sometimes, I look at these guys on stage, and I already know what’s about to happen. Times I look at them off stage, and I see the joke flash through their eyes before the peals of laughter sound. Music and feeling thinks through us all, at once.

These were some of the most alive concerts I’ve ever been a part of. It’s what’s happening on stage, and what is shared in the room.

Here’s the thing when you’re on a stage. There is responsibility there. To not disappear into the distance it can create. Even when you can’t see your audience, you have to know

there is no real separation.

People use words like ‘divine’, ‘heavenly’, but the truth is much more human. Messy and beautifully imperfect. Closer to animals, closer to instinct. It is breath, rhythm, attention, acceptance, presence. Something that belongs to all of us.

And then, away from the stage, friends who fly across the world to be with you. Family, who with a single message, offer support from every direction. People who gather and show up without hesitation.

Luck is a terrible metric for a life. And yet, I can’t help but think about how lucky I am…

April was a gift.
When you continue to learn what connection is, it also shows you what it isn’t.

But hey, here we are. We keep showing up. For each other, in the music, in the joy, in the mess, in the quiet…
It might just be one of the most essential things we are here to do ❤️ by @sukhmanimusic

Thank you to everyone who joined us for such wonderful night in London. I said it during the concert, and I feel it even more now, I carry your voices with me, close to my heart. There is something so powerful the way we showed up for one another! Thank you for going so deep, for uplifting each other, and for sharing in such a joyful celebration!

To my beloved band, @ramdassmusic @sukhmanimusic @bruno.justi I love you guys so much. And a very special thank you to dear @jahnavi_harrison for bringing your beautiful voice and light to this concert. Every moment we get to sing together is so precious 💖

To Josh, and the entire team and crew at @mbswellbeing and @unionchapeluk thank you for holding this space for all of us. Your care, attention, and dedication made our whole time in London feel smooth and supported. We are so grateful, and we truly can’t wait to return!

We are getting ready for our first concert in Linz tonight, followed by another concert and a workshop in the next couple of days. I’m holding all of these precious moments, and all of you, so close!

March, reflections. Reminders.
Some of you might already know, I’ve recently spent some time moving through a kind of pain I’ve never quite known before. A pain I’d previously brushed against, tasted without quite having the tongue for it. This time it was not as peripheral. I am well and truly rearranged.

Toward the mouth of the lion I was thrust, and into it I walked.

At its heaviest, being awake was unbearable. But in the breaking, a strange clarity begins to arise.

I am not afraid of pain.

This pain is not my enemy. It is not something to be rushed toward or away from. It strips away illusions, exposes the bones of old or false truths, and demands that we sit still long enough to actually notice.

Sure, it is proof of injury, but also, of connection. And, as ever, to feel deeply, even when it scalds, is evidence that we are, in fact, Alive. Here.

I wish I had something profound to offer anyone reading this, but I don’t. I only have small reflections that, however cliché may sound, are real to me.

Though the feelings might be real, the conclusions aren’t always. Stay with it. Accept it. Be patient. And know when to move. For when everything seems to be coming apart, something else, something precious, is taking shape in the ruins. by @sukhmanimusic
