On Thursday I let my beautiful girl go, she almost made her 14th birthday 💫 she passed peacefully at home with her brother by her side. 🐶🐾

She was resilient, loyal, brave, stubborn and beautiful all the ingredients that make a Rhodesian perfect, my dream dog.

I will love you forever Suki 💕

A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself.💕💫

@tischmanpets thank you for all the wonderful photos over the years.

💔 Meet Mystic, ACC ID #267127 — located at Manhattan Animal Care Center, NYC.

She’s 12 years old and recently surrendered. When I found her in her kennel, she was shaking like a leaf. She’s so desperately sweet and deserves a soft landing, a warm bed, and a loving home to spend her golden years. ❤️

🙏 Please help Mystic find the love she deserves. Foster, adopt, or share her story!

UPDATE- HEADED TO FOSTER 🙏🐾❣️

This is Courage. 💔 ID #265666 | 6 months | 27.8 lbs | Male on today’s At Risk List in Manhattan Acc NYC

I saw this baby during my volunteer shift Monday. His notes mention jumping, grabbing clothes and leash biting—but he’s **six months old, scared, overwhelmed and sitting in a noisy shelter.** He deserves the chance to show who he really is.

🚨 **RESCUE ONLY — not available for public adoption. He needs an approved rescue to save him.**

Please share. ❤️🐾 taken in Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC) by @sukisinnyc

Today I got to spend some time helping out at the shelter cleaning kennels, doing laundry, meeting so many incredible dogs, and hopefully soon I’ll be able to start walking them too! 🐾❤️

But today, I met one very special boy who I immediately gravitated toward.

Meet Spike! He’s about 2 years old, 47 pounds, and those gorgeous puppy eyes got me immediately. 🥹 I can already tell there’s a fun-loving, playful little mischief-maker hiding behind them!

He struck me as incredibly intelligent, curious, and full of personality. In the right hands, with patience, love, plenty of adventures and a chance to just be a dog, I think Spike could be an absolutely superb companion. ❤️

Spike is currently rescue only and has been at the care center for about 30 days. What really amazed me was how well he seems to be holding it together after spending so much time in a small kennel.

Dogs like Spike blow me away. They’re resilient, they keep going, they keep hoping and somehow they still manage to wag their tails and show you who they really are. 🐶❤️

I’m hoping the right rescue sees this gorgeous boy and gives him the chance he deserves.

🐾 Spike ID #261844 | 2 years old | 47 lbs

Please share Spike! You never know whose heart (or couch 😜) he might be meant for. ❤️

I met this little girl today as I was waiting to do my training shift at the MACC shelter.

She needs a new home within 2 weeks!

This wonderful 7-year-old girl has found herself in a really difficult situation. The lady caring for her has only had her for 3 weeks and was trying to help, but unfortunately she cannot keep her long-term.

Her original owner will not take her back because his new girlfriend does not want dogs, so she urgently needs a safe, loving home. 💔

🐱 Has lived with cats
🐶 Good with dogs
👧 Great with kids and people
🦮 Wonderful on walks
🚗 Great on car rides
🛁 Good with baths
❤️ An all-around wonderful dog!

The current caregiver’s daughter is also experiencing allergies. If anyone has experience managing dog allergies in children—medications, air purifiers, treatments, etc.—please share any advice that might help.

She can stay where she is for another two weeks only, so please share and help us find this sweet girl the home she deserves. 🙏🐾 taken in Manhattan, New York by @sukisinnyc

After 27 incredible years, the time has come for our final bow. ❤️

Mercury Bar will be closing its doors on June 21.

These last two weeks are about celebrating the people who made Mercury Bar what it is — our amazing staff, our loyal customers, our friends, and our community. Every drink shared, every game watched, every laugh, celebration, and late night became part of our story.

We ask you to come by one last time, raise a glass, and help us support the staff who have been the heart and soul of Mercury Bar through the years.

Thank you for 27 unforgettable years. We couldn’t have done it without you.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

We love you all. ❤️
