You’ve probably never met the woman who made your clothes...

But at SukkhaCitta, we know her.

We know her laugh. Her kids. Her dreams.

Because she’s not a number on a label.

She’s the reason we do this.

And every thread she touches… carries her hope.

Wear her story. Share her joy.

This October, our SappanPink™ pieces carry a little extra love 🌸

Every Flora piece begins with care. The Ibus tend the plants on their farms, simmer Sappan wood until the water turns a soft pink, and draw each flower by hand.

This month, that care travels further. Together with @lovepinkindonesia, 10% of every SappanPink purchase goes toward their movement to give 10,000 free breast ultrasounds to women who need it most, along with early detection education and support for patients and survivors.

It’s care that moves from the Ibus’ hands to you, and from you to a woman you may never meet.

Tag a woman who deserves to feel cared for. SappanPink™ is in our stores and online.

Ibu Srikanthi draws every flower twice.

First on the front of the cotton. Then she turns the cloth over and traces all of it again on the back, line by line in hot wax, so the flowers are just as clear on the inside.

Almost nobody will ever see that side, and she does it anyway.

A single flower can hold fifty tiny strokes. One Flora kain takes her about thirty days at the bamboo frame in Tuban.

We asked what she'd say to the woman who wears it.

"Mugi-mugi menawi dipun agem, panjenengan saged bingah lan wantun."
When you wear this, I hope you feel happy and brave.

Everyone has a back of the cloth. The thing you still do properly when no one is checking. Tell us yours in the comments.

The full story of how her flowers are written is on our Journal, link in bio.

You can never rush a flower to bloom.

It opens when the soil is ready and the rain has done its part. Somehow we give flowers more patience than we give ourselves.

@winiwink put it this way: "Blooming means that I honor the season of life and what it asks of me."

Some seasons ask you to open wide. Some ask you to stay quiet a while and let the roots do their work.

If this one is asking you to slow down, you're allowed to answer.

Send this to someone who's being too hard on herself 💌

Wini wears the Flora Kain and Scarf. Each flower on her cloth took our Ibus about thirty days to draw by hand in wax, and nobody rushed it.

Her story is on our Journal, link in bio.

Two icons walk into a conference…
…and bring a whole village with them.

Dr. Sylvia Earle, in her Angkasa Power Suit once again. Farwiza Farhan, in the Flora Evening Dress in SweetIndigo Forest Green.

The Ibus grew the dyes and made every piece with wisdom passed down from their mamas and nanas.

What an honor to see their wisdom given a front seat at the table 💙💚

Who would you bring into the room with you? 🌿

Proud to be part of the #BoF500 Class of 2026! 🌱

Honestly, after 10 years of @sukkhacitta I still feel like a nerd with no business in fashion.

Most of what I know, I learnt in the fields. The Ibus never plant cotton on its own. They tuck it between the corn and the chilies, and somehow every plant grows stronger for having the others beside it.

They call it Tumpang Sari. Turns out, it was the same for me. What got me here was a whole village!

The Ibus who kept planting this way when the neighbours said it would never pay.

Our team, who carried this mission through the years when we really didn't know if we'd make it.

And maybe you. The one who asked "who made this?" in a shop and got a funny look.

The one who wore the same piece again and again until it softened into you.

The one who sent our story to a friend at midnight because it moved you.

Each of you made the whole thing stronger, just by growing alongside it.

It has been my greatest honor to grow this with you!! Together, making a mark 🤍

Your nerd,
in her breakdowns and breakthroughs,
D

A week in New York with @sukkhacitta.

Concrete jungle, back-to-back meetings, too much coffee, not enough sleep — and clothes that somehow made it all feel a little more effortless.

I love that every piece carries something much bigger than itself: the spirit of the soil, the hands of the Ibu who grow the cotton and make the cloth, and the stories of the villages behind it.

Easy to mix, easy to move in, and somehow always right for the day — from a morning panel to a walk across Manhattan to a late-night gathering.

I carry Leuser in my heart, and the craft of village women on my body.

Turns out, a little bit of home travels very well. by @sukkhacitta

What is batik to you?
For our Ibus, it is a way of life.

In Java, making batik is called menulis. To write.

For generations, these women wrote line by line onto cloth that carried other people's stories. Now they pick up the canting and tell their own.

The SukkhaCitta Library opens with their films. A celebration of the women writing the future, one line at a time.

Which woman taught you to write your own story? Tag her below 🤍

Flowers have always held what people couldn't say out loud. Love, mostly. Sometimes protest.

Our Ibus draw each one by hand, onto cloth dyed with whatever was flowering on the farm that season.

When the season turns, the colour goes with it. What you're holding may never be made again.

A small reminder to bloom in your own time.
