💚 Our students showed up. Our community stood together.

The Sullivan County community came together on Saturday for the Out of the Darkness Walk, with Fallsburg Hope Squad volunteering and students and staff from Eldred and Tri-Valley joining in support.

It was a powerful reminder that suicide prevention is a community effort. Together, we can create connection, raise awareness, and make sure no one feels alone.

Let’s keep showing up for one another because every conversation, connection, and act of support matters. 💚

𝗪𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗹𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆?

Our next Prevention Coordinator will spend time in schools, after-school programs and youth settings throughout the county, helping young people build the knowledge and skills they need to make healthy choices.

A key part of the role is teaching CATCH My Breath, a youth vaping prevention program, while building relationships with students, schools and community partners.

𝗪𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴!

Sullivan 180 is seeking a Prevention Coordinator to support substance use prevention efforts throughout Sullivan County.

This position will work directly with young people, teaching the CATCH My Breath vaping prevention program in schools, after-school programs and other youth settings. We’re looking for an organized, energetic team player who is comfortable connecting with and inspiring young people and passionate about working with community partners to support the health of the next generation.
Bilingual Spanish is preferred.

Sullivan 180 Outreach Coordinator Nicole Blais presented the Healthiest Fire Department Challenge at the 1st Annual New York Women in Fire Day, held at the Westmere Fire Department in Albany.

The conference brought together 50 attendees and firefighters from 17 counties across New York State for conversations on leadership, firefighter health and wellness, emergency response, mental health and the experiences of women in the fire service.

It was a meaningful opportunity to connect, learn and share the Healthiest Fire Department Challenge with firefighters from across the state.
