A leaf’s delicate veins, the intricate pattern of reptilian skin, the fragile geometry of a feather—Erin Sullivan transforms these fleeting textures into enduring works of cast bronze. Through the ancient lost-wax casting process, she preserves nature’s smallest details with extraordinary precision, creating sculptural furniture and objects that invite us to slow down and appreciate the beauty of the natural world.

By translating ephemeral organic forms into bronze, a material capable of lasting for millennia, Sullivan creates timeless works that blur the boundaries between art and design, permanence and transformation. Each sculpture stands as a lasting record of nature’s remarkable complexity, celebrating the quiet beauty found in the world around us.

Erin Sullivan’s sculptural furniture and ritual objects inhabit a space where art, design, and mythology converge. Working primarily in bronze, an ancient medium capable of preserving a moment in perpetuity, Sullivan transforms archetypal symbols and natural impressions into tables, stools, and lighting that function as sites of reflection and reverence. Through meticulous sculpting and lost-wax casting, her works honor cycles of life and death, matter and spirit, positioning functional objects as vessels of memory and meaning. Material Voices, on view through Friday, March 6, brings together the work of Erin Sullivan, Jennifer Trask, and Sofia Karakatsanis in a shared exploration of material memory, transformation, and the enduring dialogue between nature and human intervention. by @sullivan__erin

Introducing a vignette of timeless elegance and sculptural beauty at Todd Merrill Studio. We’re proud to showcase an exquisite collection that embodies the perfect balance of artistry, craftsmanship, and design. This ethereal vignette features standout works from visionary artists, including:

Markus Haase’s wall-mounted bronze and onyx console merges the fluidity of sculptural artistry with functional design. Haase’s mastery in stone carving, honed through years of restoring Gothic cathedrals, transforms stone, metal, and wood into expressive, dynamic works that breathe life into any space.

Mindy Horn’s “Cloister” porcelain and 24k gold leaf vessel tells a story of delicate beauty and inner strength. Horn’s work celebrates the paradox of fragility and resilience, capturing the complexity of human existence through the soft curves and bold presence of her vessels.

Erin Sullivan’s hand-carved bronze banana leaf sconces reflect the organic, eternal grace of nature, immortalizing fleeting moments in time with an eye for detail that celebrates both life and memory.

Maarten Vrolijk’s hand-built ceramic vessels embody spontaneity and charm, with eccentric, organic forms that captivate and energize. Influenced by the natural world, Vrolijk’s work infuses a sense of playful defiance with a delicate yet enduring quality.

Karl Springer LTD’s iconic Free Form Low Tables, reissued exclusively through Todd Merrill Studio, offer bold elegance and versatile functionality. These statement pieces capture the energy of the 1970s and 80s with their luxurious finishes and dynamic forms.

Each piece in this vignette tells a story—of strength, transformation, and the timeless pursuit of beauty. Explore these unique works, available exclusively at Todd Merrill Studio. by @sullivan__erin

We’re thrilled to have contributed to the stunning set design of Severance (Season 2, Episode 9), where the vibrant and imaginative works of four incredible designers are playfully placed within the seemingly dark, dystopian interior of the home of Jame Eagan. The featured works include:

Bronze Bubble Side Tables by Erin Sullivan

Inspired by the natural beauty of geodes and pyrite, these sculptural tables bring organic, cascading bronze forms to life. A beautiful fusion of form and function, each table captures the delicate yet powerful flow of nature itself.

Ceramic Blooming Terra Lamps by Maarten Vrolijk
With a touch of whimsy and defiance, Vrolijk’s bombastic ceramic lamps embody an organic nature that gives them an eccentric energy. Their sculptural quality contrasts beautifully with the stark setting of the show, offering a burst of life.

Zebra & Ostrich Textile by Tjitske Storm
Storm’s captivating tufted tapestry explores symbiosis, drawing on her travels in Angola and South Africa. Through her digital collages and traditional techniques, this piece blurs the line between the digital and tactile, bringing a wild, organic harmony to a seemingly sterile space.

Cozy Chair by Hannes Grebin
Reimagining the traditional “dad’s chair,” Grebin’s design takes a deconstructed, Cubist approach to create a functional yet sculptural masterpiece. With angular planes and custom fabric, this piece blends comfort and art, all while questioning the norms of modern domestic decor.

Each of these pieces brings a burst of color, form, and life to an otherwise austere setting, proving that even in the coldest environments, there’s beauty in the unexpected. by @sullivan__erin

Erin Sullivan’s sculptural bronze alligator stool and bubble side table , featured in Architectural Digest alongside a Todd Merrill Customs Original Sofa. These exceptional works seamlessly blend nature with art eschewing functionality and beauty.

The Bronze Alligator Stool immortalizes the delicate skin of an alligator, casting a striking balance between life and death, nature and artifact. The perfect fusion of sculpture and utility, this piece is both timeless and captivating.

Sullivan’s Bubble Side Table is inspired by the natural beauty of geodes and pyrite. Composed of a vortex of cascading blackened bronze bubbles beneath a flat, blackened bronze top. At once a sculptural work of art and a functional object, the work is the perfect marriage of form and function. The Bubble Side Table stands as both a sculptural masterpiece and a practical piece for any contemporary space.

The Cannabis and Feather Stools are from her Flora Series evoking the fluidity and texture of natural forms through bronze’s enduring beauty. Each piece is handcrafted with incredible detail, transforming organic inspiration into a sophisticated and functional sculpture.

Erin Sullivan has been represented by Todd Merrill Studio since 2013, and we are proud to continue showcasing her groundbreaking work. Using a complex process of three-dimensional assemblage and advanced casting techniques, Sullivan’s pieces stand as true testaments to time, memory, and the natural world.

Custom commissions are available, allowing for personalized dimensionality and finishes to make these sculptural works truly unique. by @sullivan__erin

A monumental moment at our Tribeca gallery —presenting a striking installation that brings together the worlds of sculptural design and fine art. At the heart of this dynamic vignette hangs John Procario’s Freeform LED light sculpture, measuring an impressive 12 feet. A true testament to Procario’s ability to push the boundaries of wood, light, and form, this organic, fluid creation evokes a sense of motion and emotion as the light dances across its sculptural curves. Whether on a grand or intimate scale, these striking LED light sculptures can be crafted to suit any space, bringing dynamic energy and unparalleled beauty to any setting.

Flanking Procario’s Freeform, is an exquisite collection by some of today’s most innovative contemporary artists including Stefan Rurak’s one-of-a-kind club chairs, fireplace surround, and handcrafted console and coffee table, embodying the tension between fine art aesthetics and functional design. Christopher Russell’s beautiful ceramic vessels are an exploration of form and materiality, showcasing his distinctive, painterly approach to contemporary ceramics.

Draga & Aurel joy sconce and a painting by Aurel K. Basedow, add a vibrant glow. Erin Sullivan’s cast bronze Fire and Water sconce offers yet another layer of sophistication and elegance.

This unique fusion of art, design, and craftsmanship is currently on view at Todd Merrill Studio in Tribeca. by @sullivan__erin
