Riding the Curve
by @amanda_carnahan.author

‼️available now‼️

✨blurb✨
Sometimes life can throw you a curve so harsh, it leaves you questioning whether you’ll ever be able to recover.

Henley Cole is a perfectionist to the core. Every mistake leaves her evaluating her own self worth. Her life is turned upside down, when a situation causes Henley to lose both her chef career, her home, and her identity all in one day.

Emerson Lane has been struggling silently for years. Racing has become his only outlet. When the wall he’s built around himself finally cracks, he’s suspended until further notice. He’s left to face what has been haunting him for so long.

Henley and Emerson find themselves with no other option than to return to their small hometown they haven’t visited in years.

Growing up as neighbors, they became fast friends. What they didn’t expect was that friendship to turn into something more as they got older. It is never the right timing, until fate intervenes. When both are seated next to each other on the plane ride home, memories of their interconnected past come alive. Igniting the lingering spark that still flickers between them.

Together they must learn to navigate not only their feelings for each other, but find the strength to overcome their own inner demons. Will they be able to heal themselves enough to open their hearts again, or will they miss the chance fate has thrown their way?

➡️I purchased this book to support this incredible indie author (I arc read for her) and she sent me the sweetest message with some bookish goodies!!⬅️

I am so incredibly excited to announce that I’m still a part of @jmorgynwrites Street Team! I have had the absolute privilege and honor to help shout into the void and to anyone who would listen about her two books ⤵️

🖤Too Cursed to Kiss
💜Demons for Breakfast

And now I get to help her shout about her upcoming new book

🗝️The Five Keys

More information coming soon✨

If you haven’t read Too Cursed to Kiss or Demons for Breakfast yet…may I recommend them for your fall TBR?!

🖤Too Cursed is a fast paced urban fantasy, monster romance with tons of banter and will have you laughing out loud.

💜Demons for Breakfast is also a fast paced urban fantasy but with incredible found family, herb-based magic, a green flag mmc, and hilarious creative swear words.

Plus- J makes the most beautiful books! Full of incredible drawings and art all throughout the books. They are truly a work of art, inside and out.

So, now you know why I’m so happy to be announcing that I’m on J Morgyn White’s street team!!

This emotionally heavy book is INCREDIBLE.

I’m so thankful to @alishancook_author for this thoughtful and beautiful PR box but I also bought a copy for myself because this book is so good. It is a story worth sharing. Read the TWs, don’t go in blind. But if you can read dark themes and heavy material, then you NEED to check this book out!!

🍎Tallow and Bone🍎

by @rhiannonhargadon
‼️available now‼️

Happy pub day to Tallow and Bone! A book that will absolutely devastate you! But if you’re looking for a dark and emotional tale for your spooky season TBR, then you’ve found one.

My arc review⤵️
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
4/5🌟

Dang. I have been thinking about this book a lot. It’s difficult. But isn’t that the point? The subject matter is difficult, so why wouldn’t the story be? The characters are deeply flawed but I think that is the whole point. This is a period in history that we do not want to see repeated. We need to be ashamed that this actually happened…it should make us uncomfortable. I really do think that was the point. I would strongly encourage everyone to check TWs before diving in. And in case it isn’t listed, infidelity is among them. There is a love triangle here, and it isn’t so easy. If you make a connection to the FMC at all, you will certainly feel her internal struggles. I felt like the postpartum depression in the story was well represented and I’ve said it before, but motherhood, pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period should be more present in the stories that we read. It quite literally is life, and it is represented well here. However there is a portion of time that we zip through rather quickly when the rest of the plot had been detailed as day by day. But I do think that this was a choice by the author as a writing style rather than a plot hole. It felt pretty authentic to how the FMC was feeling in her situation. Also do not expect a retelling where the characters speak like they are in the 1600s because the characters here speak pretty modern so don’t let that take you out of the story. This book will both make you cheer and it will absolutely break your heart. Thank you to the author for the eARC. This voluntary review is my honest thoughts and opinions about the book. There is plenty of open door, descriptive spice in this book. I would rate 4/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️. If you are a reader who can read dark and heavy themes, then I would recommend adding this to your fall TBR!

Flameheart and Ashfall
by @authors.debequette

Books one and two in what is becoming an incredible YA fantasy saga with a swoony romantic subplot!

Thank you to the authors for this super sweet #authormail gift! I have enjoyed being on your arc and street teams for these books and hope to be around for many more!!

✨Out of the pages, he comes.
Into the pages, she must go.✨

➡️Packed with immersive worlds, torturous slowburn romance, and mounting courage, the first installment in the Flameheart Chronicles grants a reader’s deepest wish—to step into the stories they call home and to fight for them.

➡️For fans of classics like C. S. Lewis’s Narnia and the modern fantasies of the Shadowhunter Chronicles and Once Upon a Broken Heart, the second installment of the Flameheart Chronicles is a harrowing journey into the dark night of the soul–and the hope we cling to for a story that will never end.
