Traveling to Maldives solo with a Pakistani passport? Here’s where you should stay before you book anything.

Maldives is not just about $2000 per night luxury water villas local islands are a much better option if you want flexibility and a more real experience.

Here are some of the best local islands to consider:

• Maafushi → cheapest option, very touristy, lots of activity
• Thoddoo → quiet, lots of greenery, more laid-back vibe
• Fulidhoo → peaceful, small, authentic island experience
• Ukulhas → clean, calm, fewer tourists, great for snorkeling + Bikini Beach access

I chose Ukulhas because it was peaceful, clean, and not overcrowded exactly what I wanted for a solo trip.

💸 Stay cost: $550 for 5 nights (excluding taxes) ~$30 per night tax → $150 extra

Total: $700 for 5 nights & 6 days

Maldives is a Muslim country, so bikinis are only allowed in designated beach areas choosing the right island really matters.

I booked my stay through Booking.com after comparing with Agoda, and had a great experience.

Save this before planning your Maldives trip.

Vietnam Visa for Pakistanis: Read This Before Booking Your Trip

I lost almost 100,000 PKR planning my Vietnam trip, and if you’re traveling on a Pakistani passport, I hope this helps you avoid the same mistake.

After hearing that Vietnam visas were open for Pakistanis, I applied for the e-visa and booked non-refundable flights. Unfortunately, my visa never came through despite multiple follow-ups, and I ended up losing money on my flight tickets.

One thing I learned is that Phu Quoc Island is a different option for Pakistani travelers, with a visa-on-arrival process. If you’re planning to use this route, make sure your entry and exit are through Phu Quoc and keep all your travel documents ready.

Travel Tip:
✔️ Avoid booking non-refundable flights before your travel plans are confirmed.
✔️ Keep hotel bookings and return flight tickets easily accessible.
✔️ Be prepared for additional immigration checks.
✔️ Carry a complete itinerary and proof of accommodation.

The immigration officers carefully reviewed my hotel bookings, return ticket, and travel plans before allowing me to enter. Everything worked out in the end, and Phu Quoc turned out to be one of the most beautiful destinations I’ve visited.

Save this post if you’re planning Vietnam travel from Pakistan, and share it with someone researching a Vietnam visa for Pakistani passport holders. taken in Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam by @sumbalmalick

Traveling to Maldives with a Pakistani passport as a solo female? Here’s everything you need to know before you go.

Maldives offers visa on arrival for Pakistanis, but the arrival process can be a bit intense especially if you’re traveling alone. Make sure you have your hotel booking, return ticket, and confirmations ready to show at immigration.

Once you land in Malé, you’ll need to take a speedboat to your island. The journey takes around 90 minutes, but timings are limited. When I traveled, the last speedboat was around 1 PM (Mon–Thu) and 2 PM (Friday), so plan your flights accordingly.

Also, carry USD (I had around $600–$700) and keep your card as backup. Maldives is not cheap, so budgeting matters.

I learned this the hard way when I missed my speedboat so save this if you’re planning your Maldives solo trip.

Honestly didn’t want this chapter of the trip to end!! After being out on the water all day, coming back to @yuligoresortskd felt like finding our own little bubble above the valley. There’s nothing quite like wrapping your hands around a warm cup of tea while looking out at the peaks, and finishing the night by the fire.

Definitely saving this spot for the next time we need a mountain reset 📌

De-influencing curly hair routines because apparently, having curly hair requires a whole chemistry lab.

Let’s make curly hair care SIMPLE again. You don’t need 10 products, an hour of finger-coiling, or a complicated wash-day routine to take care of your natural curls.

My routine? Just a shampoo that suits my scalp, the Fino hair mask instead of conditioner and Coco Curls moisturizing cream. That’s it! These are products I genuinely use, not a sponsored recommendation.

My hair is naturally very dry, so this routine works for me. I don’t follow every curly hair trend, and I don’t believe every curl needs to be manually defined.

A little correction from the video: I use a microfiber bonnet after showering to manage my hair, while my satin bonnet is for sleeping. Two different bonnets, two different purposes! 🫶🏻

Your curls might need something different, and that’s okay. Learn your hair, understand its needs, and stop buying every product the internet tells you that you need.

Save this as your reminder that your curly hair routine doesn’t have to be complicated to work.

Send this to a curly-haired friend who’s drowning in hair products! 😂

Some places give you a beautiful view. Others let you experience the culture, the people, and the little moments that make a trip unforgettable.

Our stay at Yuligo Resort, Skardu was a little bit of everything.

- Breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains
- Beautiful cottages with traditional Balti architecture, local woodwork, and modern comforts
- Sunsets that make you want to put your phone down and just take it all in
- Delicious local Balti food
- A bonfire, local music, and a beautiful evening arranged by the owner, Shajeel
- And, of course, Alpha … the friendliest husky!

What made this stay special was how the resort brings together local Balti traditions and modern comfort without losing its cultural charm.

Your body isn’t broken it’s just keeping the score!!
If you’ve ever noticed unexplained gut issues, stomach flare-ups, or sudden exhaustion during times of heavy emotional stress or overthinking, you aren’t alone. Through the vagus nerve, your brain and digestive system are directly connected. When you absorb unresolved stress, hold back boundaries, or stay locked in anxiety, your nervous system triggers a real, physical response in your body.

The takeaway? Physical pain is often an emotional boundary your mind hasn’t set yet.

Have you ever felt your body react before your mind even admitted you were stressed? Drop a thought in the comments let’s talk about it.

📌 Save this post as a reminder to pause, listen, and check in with your body today!!

I almost missed photographing the Milky Way above Rakaposhi!!

I forgot my tripod and honestly thought my astrophotography session was over. After trying different spots (and even getting interrupted by a curious cat :d), I found a metal rod, balanced my camera on it, dialed in my settings, and hoped for the best.

A few seconds later, I captured one of my favorite photos ever.

Sometimes the best moments happen when things don’t go according to plan.

If you’re planning a trip to Hunza, don’t just admire the mountains during the day. Stay up after dark, look up, and witness the Milky Way over Rakaposhi it’s an experience you’ll never forget!! taken in Hunza Valley, Gilgit Baltistan by @sumbalmalick

A month of quiet recalibration!! If there’s one thing these past few weeks reminded me it’s that life rarely follows the exact blueprint we design and that’s usually where the grace lies. I pushed my boundaries, finished things I care about and faced the moments that tested my patience. Not every victory is loud. Sometimes, winning is just choosing to show up for yourself with a little more kindness than yesterday. Here’s to softer expectations, deeper roots and new energy for the road ahead!!! taken in Hunza Valley, Gilgit Baltistan by @sumbalmalick

Looking for a place to stay in Hunza as a solo traveller?

I stayed at @karakoramtaleshunza in Aliabad, Hunza, and one of my favourite things about it was the location and the incredible Rakaposhi view.

Waking up with Rakaposhi right in front of you was honestly one of my favourite parts of my Hunza trip and if you’re into photography or astrophotography, the views are beautiful.

The rooms were comfortable, the basic facilities were there, and the location made it a convenient base for exploring Hunza.

If you’re searching for where to stay in Hunza, affordable hotels in Hunza, hotels in Aliabad, or accommodation for a solo trip to Hunza, add Karakoram Tales to your list.

This is simply based on my own stay and experience.

Save this for your Hunza travel planning and send it to someone planning a trip to Northern Pakistan.
