Visited @bloedel_conservatory & saw some beautiful exotic birds, plants, flowers & greenery! Couldn't keep my eyes off of the array of colors exuding from all of this nature together. Some of these amazing birds were over 50 years old. If you are ever in the area, stop in for a visit. #sumdopeshit #naturephotography #nature #birds #botanicalgardens #conservatory #vancouver #canada #flowers #plants #greenery #bloedelconservatory #parrot #macaw #chinesepheasant #cockatoo #finch #parakeet #parrotfinch #dove #canary #pigeon taken in Bloedel Conservatory, Vancouver, British Columbia by @sumdopesh_t

Halloween is our favorite time of year!

Have you been to Old Towne Orange during Halloween time? Primarily Palmyra Street and surrounding area?!! Some of these houses go all out for Halloween. You should definitely make the trek over, especially if you are a local to see some pretty dope decorated set ups!

Happy HALLOWEEN Decor House Hunting!

#sumdopeshit #goodreads This rainy weather calls for a good reading session! If you are looking for your next novel to read, dive into Colson Whitehead's 2017 Pulitzer Prize winning novel "The Underground Railroad." Follow Cora as she navigates her escape to freedom from the plantation, through multiple states on an actual underground railroad. A full-blown railing/train system, designed, built, and ran by slaves with secret passageways, routes & safe houses. This novel you won't want to put down. Highly recommended! Facts: Colson Whitehead won back to back Pulitzer prizes for novels he wrote. He is the only African American writer to win 2 Pulitzer prizes (one of the 4 to do so) and the only one to win for back to back novels. His 2020 win for "The Nickel Boys" we will feature in a new post. Hope you enjoy it! #colsonwhitehead #theundergroundrailroad #novel #read #reading #rainyday #relax #chillvibes #books #pulitzer #pulitzerprize #goodread # by @sumdopesh_t

#sumdopeshit #foodedition Tired of eating hot food right now 'cause it's hot and you don't feel like slaving over the hot a** stove? Want a salad but tired of the same a** salads? Try this delicious cold yummy salad. Lao Papaya Salad (Tum Mak Hoong) is my favorite salad in the entire world. All you need...

Shredded Papaya (unripe so should be green), cherry tomatoes, garlic, thai eggplant, green beans or long beans, shredded carrots, thai chilies, fermented fish sauce (Padaek), regular fish sauce, salted fermented (pickled)crab, sugar, lime (squeeze fresh lime juice on salad), dried shrimp (or steamed shrimp), Tamarind Paste, Crab Paste (optional) & Shrimp Paste (optional) & Sliced Cabbage. For a vegetarian/vegan option just eliminate all of the seafood and use a fermented soy sauce or vegetarian "fish" sauce & fermented black soy bean paste. Make sure you have a mortar & pestle because this salad is mixed that way. DO NOT muddle too much! Just slightly. Enjoy!

#sumdopeshit #natureedition Need some Sunday chill & peace?! Go visit the @laarboretum ! You can literally spend the whole day here. It's one of our favorite gardens! Bring a blanket, a good read, and grab some snacks from their cafe, and enjoy the day. Take a nap after your reading sesh, then get up and walk around and enjoy this huge, beautiful garden. AND of course, you'll get to see the amazing beautiful peacocks that live in and dominate this garden + other birds & wildlife. The garden also hosts dope events throughout the year, especially their summer concert series. Don't hesitate to grab a yearly membership. It's so worth it. #garden #gardens #laarboretum #animals #birds #nature #outside #peacock #flowers #plants #trees #wildlife #sundayvibes #relax #picnic #peaceful #withnature #life #lifebelifing #lifeisbeautiful #outdoors taken in LA Arboretum by @sumdopesh_t
